Japanese Male actor Charles Johnson from Tokyo, Japan
I have 13 years of experience in both demonstration and competition tae kwon do, and have both competed and done demonstations internationally. I'm a former US national tae kwon do champion (National Congress of State Games Gold Medalist), and have been doing action cinema training for 2 1/2 years now. In Tokyo I've done runway and print modeling, bit parts on television, and three films. I can also speak both Korean and Japanese.
After spending several years living in Seoul as an international student at Yonsei University, and studying Tae Kwon Do there, I finished up school at the university of Science and Technology in Hong Kong, and then from there moved to Tokyo, Japan where I started working in both acting and modeling.
My first appearance in a film was as a martial arts super soldier in Godzilla: Final Wars, where I joined the Tokyo-based action group, Ohara Action Club, whom I still train with. At present, I still reside in Tokyo, but also hope to return to Seoul at some point to work out there.
I have two tattoos. A small dragon on my left shoulder, and a large Korean hanja (Chinese character) tattoo on my right calf.
I do need glasses or contacts to see perfectly, but my vision correction is slight.
