ESKIMOS

Founded in Iceland in the mid 90ies by Asta Kristjansdottir, formerly a model herself, Eskimo sparked out in 1998 to search more "dottirs" in Russia's Wild East: Siberia. Our main office in Tomsk is overlooking scouting activities in Omsk, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Krasnojarsk, Chelyabinsk, Ekaterinburg, Perm, and Ufa. We focus on primary scouting at schools, and have gained a reputation for being - yes - very selective, but developing and launching in turn new talent quickly and at the highest level.
In early 2001, we opened doors in Slovakia. We consider this step as the move towards true internationalization of our business and as the bridgehead for further expansion in Central Europe. From Bratislava our van Alice systematically travels the country to make sure that we don't miss any unpolished diamond not even in the most remote.
Also in 2001, we touched the shores of Rio de Janeiro and settled. We eventually moved further South to Florianopolis with the intention to be closer to the fertile scouting grounds in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Caterina and Parana.
In September 2002 we made a strategic investment in Bohemia Model Management, a well established agency in Prague.
We are currently representing a limited number of models, around 50, whose international career we initiate, plan and direct alongside the partner agencies that we carefully select for each model. This number will not change substantially despite the large amount of new talent we find each month; though we may be involved in a wide geographical realm, we would, if it came to a choice, rather be best than biggest. This together with our overall approach and style clearly differentiates us; we are confident it will lead to superior results for our models, our clients, our partners and ourselves in the long run.
