Most important steps:
*Central heating, harsh wind and cold weather equals dehydrated skin. To combat this, its important to drink lots of water and change your skincare routine. You need to make sure that you use a rich cream barrier moisturiser. If you suffer from oily skin, stick to a nourishing lotion. Vitamin C is good and as ever you still need an SPF in your cream.
*Dehydrated skin also equals flaky skin so get exfoliating all over. Make sure you follow through with a really rich moisturiser.
*For dry hair make sure you use a deep intensive treatment twice a week and a really rich moisturising shampoo.
*Dont dye your hair too dark, with less light in winter, a big mistake is to dye your hair darker than your natural shade as it will make your skin paler and more sallow. Keep a few lighter streaks around your face to lift your colour. Also your roots will show more so if your hair is highlighted you will need to do the roots more often than in summer.
*Do get out and get some fresh air into your lungs. Walk as much as you can, its fantastic to stop you feeling sluggish.
*Do apply a light fake tan if you dont like being winter pale (although ivory and pale healthy skin looks gorgeous). I am a bit of a Posh Spice and use a fake tan every week to give me a light colour. Dont go too dark it will look unnatural.
*Do use a little pink blush on the apples of your cheeks to give a natural flushed radiant glow.
*Do eat lots and lots of vegetables in soups and stews. Nourish from the inside out and you wont have to worry so much about faking a healthy glow.
*If you are having the central heating all day, put some water by the radiator to act as a humidifier, or leave a few windows open.
