Most of us have seen what modern photography is capable of, and if you haven't - all you need to do is just look at a random fashion magazine cover. You will see pictures of smooth and perfect-looking model faces, and with time, you will come to realize that each of these pictures had been processed through a digital photo studio, which can actually make a sexy supermodel out of a banana. That might be hardly believable, especially if you're more than 40 years old, but in the 21st century, reality is mutable.
The Evolution of Photography
The rules of photography have changed with time, starting with large and clumsy cameras and hardly-visible monochrome images, evolving to hand-held technological gadgets and colorful art masterpieces. However, one of the most revolutionary and drastic changes came with the advent of digital photography and photo-processing software at the end of the 20th century. Some Things Never Change
Although digital technology brought much optimism to the hearts of pro-photographer wannabes, digital photo processors do not turn your flower snapshot from that trip to a forest into arty illustration in a biology textbook. When it comes to professional photography, the old ways stay true: it still takes a professional photographer to make a professional photo. Not everybody can make a picture with a cell phone and expect to earn millions, or at least that little niche in the history's hall of fame (with few notable exceptions, of course). In these days when all the songs have been sung and all the books written, it's the pros who are able to make it look fresh. Professional photography techniques are still quite hard to master, and it still takes years to become a pro. However, digital technology made their work easier for sure. It seems that the only ones who have not benefited from the new era o...
