You have already planned your holidays, but still don‘t know what to take on your trip? The list of things first of all depends on what kind of holidays it is. The usual ones are relaxing, active or business trips. Holidays may also take a rather long time and include all three variants. Packing list is commonly divided into three groups: essential things, which include items you won't be able to travel without, so you will have to purchase them anyway; very useful things that you may miss during the trip or find them very helpful, and optional items that you might find practical depending on your needs and the type of trip you're taking.
The first group assures that you'll have everything you really need. Let's start with money. You must have some cash, depending on what country you're going to, credit card and all traveler cheques. Memorizing or even learning all PIN numbers by heart will guarantee you that if something will be stolen or lost you won't loose everything. Having too credit cards at different networks is extremely useful. Another very important thing is documents. Passport and itinerary are vital. While choosing clothes everything depends on the place you're traveling to. However, you always have to take socks, underwear and shoes with you. Medical supplies also depend on your destination, but prescription medicines can be taken to any kind of trip. Just make sure they are legal in the country you're traveling to. Such things as tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, feminine products and face towel is definitely needed.
Second group includes such things as driving license, guide book, maps, pocket dictionary and address of you country's embassies. Having a copy of each document is great; just keep them separated from the original ones; if for some reason you loose the original document, you will still be able to travel along or at least go to your embassy. Copies will make further holidays and coming back easier. You may also take some water and snacks for long waits, having something to eat will surely lift up your mood. Just like in the first group, clothing depends on your destination; still you may need belt, cap, swimming trunks, hip pouch or money belt. Medical supplies include antifungal cream, water purification tablets, anti-bacterial cream and some pain revealers. Such supplies as nail cutter and razor may be needed. If you think such things like scissors, pocket knife or extra batteries would make your trip easier - pack them too.
Depending on your necessities and type of holidays you may also take a diary or address book, dual time watch, slippers, make up kit, perfume, hair styling gel, cold cream, camera, laptop, radio, MPS3 player, shoe polish, compass, sewing kit, laundry clips for holding clothes, inflatable neck support or air pillow, plastic cup, book or magazine for reading during the journey.
