Everybody wants to be beautiful; to have perfect body shape; some people feel beautiful the way they are, even if they have somewhat overweight, while others have that killing need to look perfect and could do unimaginable things to achieve the perfect body shape. Whose fault is this thin cult?
The biggest influence surely comes from the media. Magazine covers are all with pictures of extremely thin and perfect-looking girls. All TV stars also have those perfect looks. And when it comes down to the average woman, who is watching all this, what does she think? That she must achieve that perfect look too.
Do these stars themselves think differently? Surely not. This killing need has taken over the whole world. Female celebrities are afraid to lose their jobs, their careers, only because their colleagues are thinner. TV and other media don't need those who are overweight.
Average women, just as celebrities, want to look beautiful, fit in beauty standards, so they diet. They starve for days and weeks, weaken their bodies and get ill only because media is showing the perfect woman as an extremely thin one. Girls don't even want to hear that most men prefer healthy looking ladies instead of those bony ones. They can't imagine their lives weighting at least one kilo more than a popular model.
Women are afraid to wear skinny clothes, to go to the beach, because if their bodies are not perfect, they will be judged by other people. Mostly by other women who are on diets as well. It's ironic, but men pay less attention to these small details, few kilos. They surely prefer healthy looking women, even if they are not that thin. The thing is, women are judging women, although they know how much it costs to get that perfect looks.
The biggest paradox is that even models are not perfect. The thing is that the pictures are taken in perfect lighting, with perfect makeup and hairdo. Have you got any idea how many pictures are taken until the perfect one is done? Hundreds. Any woman in such perfect conditions may look perfect. Moreover, a computer is used to correct the smallest details. These machines may add and take off anything to or of your body. Cindy Crawford, while talking about the killing need to look perfect, said: "even I don't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford".
The fact that you are thin doesn't mean you look beautiful. A healthy body is what the real beauty is. If are thin, but always look tired and unhealthy, you will be always in a bad mood, because you're always hungry, you won't achieve your goal to look perfect. Women who have some muscles, who are always joyful and full of energy, are surely more charming and attractive than the thin ones.
Is it worth to tire your body with diets and always be irritated just to follow the images that media gives you? Isn't it better to look healthy, which is surely more attractive for anyone, be full of energy and have your own beauty image? The answer is clear in this case: the killing need to look perfect is bad choice without any exceptions.
