SurfControl is not a computer parasite, but it can turn a computer into almost inoperative machine. It was made to control online activities on a computer or a group of computers. If Surf Control is properly configured, it prevents visiting malicious websites, controls users' email access, fileshare programs and instant messengers. However SurfControl may act like malware if it's configured to do so. For example it may prevent visiting legitimate websites or prevent checking for new emails. These actions may be annoying when using a personal computer and they might be even harmful i.e. for some company. If SurfControl is set up in malicious ways, it's very difficult to turn it off. Remove SurfControl if you're in the latter situation.
