International Talent Support, the creative platform conceived and developed by the EVE agency, dedicated to the scouting and support of young creative talents from all over the world, is back in 2012 to continue along its path after the tenth anniversary,celebrated with the July 2011 edition. The four areas of the competition platform have been confirmed: ITS FASHION, ITS ACCESSORIES, ITS JEWELRY and ITS PHOTO.

From the end of January, and concurrently with the launch of the restyled website www.itsweb.org, applications to ITS 2012 are reaching EVE’s headquarters flowing in from every corner of the world. The new edition will culminate in its final event to be held in Trieste in July.

Scouting for new talents, our dedication in uncovering the untainted creativity of young designers and photographers are still the key features marking this new chapter of ITS. This year’s concept, displayed in the communication campaign and in the setting up is the eternal duality between GOOD and EVIL, the two opposite poles around which our whole existence revolves. The big family of ITS will have to choose every time what side to take. Just as in our everyday experience, we receive such an amount of inputs and possibilities that the act of choosing becomes in itself a paradox, a routine, while we value GOOD and EVIL as nothing more but tags.

After the finalists’ selection, scheduled for next April and carried out with the help of qualified international judging panels, ITS will give finalists the chance to compete for an assortment of cash prizes alongside with significant and concrete professional achievements/paths: the visibility offered by a great international showcase, the coverage on the part of highly-qualified international press, internships and other job opportunities. In the recent Fashion Weeks a great number of finalists from previous editions has invaded the fashion capitals around the globe: on catwalks, in showrooms and in exhibitions, the ITS Family has taken fashion weeks by storm, armed with true talent!

Diesel has always been on our side since the very first edition as the main partner of ITS FASHION. The Diesel Award will offer a €25,000 cash prize plus a 6-month internship with the Diesel Creative Team at its headquarters in Breganze (Vicenza): a concrete on-field opportunity, to grasp the complex dynamics of all the phases of the creative process of such an important brand. The winner of the Fashion Collection of the Year will receive €15,000 to be used towards the development of a new collection to be showcased – through a fashion show produced and organized by EVE – at the 2013 edition of ITS, besides having the opportunity of sitting in next year’s judging panel. Also the Fashion Special Prize has been confirmed, which will assign to the selected work a cash prize amounting to €5,000.

YKK has been the main partner of ITS ACCESSORIES since its creation in 2006, as the only competition in the world dedicated to all fashion accessories typologies. The finalists will compete to grab the YKK Award, which will assign to the winner € 10,000, and the Accessories Collection of the Year – € 8,000 towards the creation of a collection to be presented out of competition at ITS 2013, the chance to be part of next edition’s jury, plus a dedicated space at the September 2012 edition of Modamont, which is again alongside ITS as sponsor.

ITS JEWELRY, with the confirmation of SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS as the main partner, has now become an integral part of the ITS platform after debuting in the 2011 edition, and has immediately become a new international point of reference for a sector that is becoming increasingly important with the most prestigious fashion houses. The Jewelry design competition, open to jewelry design academies and universities all over the world, as well as to young jewelry designers, will offer the SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Jewelry Award, consisting of a €10,000 cash prize and a 6-month internship at the Swarovski headquarters in Wattens (Austria).

Each finalist of the four contest areas will provide an item that will become a treasured part of the ITS CREATIVE ARCHIVE, a protected reserve for talented that ITS has built and enriched throughout the years, located in the restyled attic of its headquarters. Such collection preserves and showcases over 9,000 portfolios, 160 outfits, over 80 accessories and jewelry pieces and 630 photographs. A true international archive preserving the memory and talent, incessantly and regularly evolving.

Develon also this year is our internet partner, while Il Piccolo, Vogue.it/Vogue Talent and D-la Repubblica are the official media partner of ITS 2012. For this year’s edition we have also developed an interesting new project with MTV ITALY, a broadcasting channel which shares our young and international approach/vision. During the week of the final event MTV News will broadcast five episodes/ reports dedicated to as many finalists selected from this year’s edition as well as from previous years … an additional standpoint to discover the ITS Family and all related stories.
