The Best Gift a Girl Could Get. . . I've recently been thinking of investing in an old 35mm camera to take a stab at the old film side of photography. Little did i know that my mother had her old Canon A-1 in a box in the storage room that hadn't been touched in years, with half a roll of film left in it. I finished off the roll and am excited to see how the pictures turned out . . especially being i had no idea how to work the thing. And decided to read the instruction booklet After i finished the roll of film. Yes, I am stubborn and sometimes think i know more about everything than i Actually do. lol. o well. It will also be neat to see my mothers old photos on it. Am also hoping to put a roll of black and white film in it and develop it in the dark room! Only registered users can comment blog posts |
 | Charles Griffin | 2008-10-22 13:08 | Keep in mind that two things can cause you problems with the A-series film cameras. Number one is having sat in storage for a long time. Battery compartments must be cleaned out. Next, the shutters had a notoriously short life span. If it still shoots and you hear a high-pitched--almost a ringing sound--as the shutter fires, it's due for a rebuild. If it doesn't work--well!!
Then, there is where can you get it serviced? KEH.com might help. Green Tech, here in Daytona, does some older cameras. |
