The South Beach Diet: The Delicious, Doctor-Designed, Foolproof Plan for Fast and Healthy Weight Loss

bought this to help me take off a few pounds and to help lower my cholesterol. My father has had heart problems since he was 52, which I'm fast approaching. This appears to be the diet for me. I found most all of the information on eating healthy fats and avoiding refined carbohydrates very good advice from everything I've been reading lately. Good read. Could use a little more "meat" about the diet details, more information would be helpful about actually being on the diet. If your mid 40ish, slightly overweight and have a family history which warrants you keep a healthy lifestyle and eating habits, then this should be the plan for you.
