if u were invited to a dinner party what wld u wear??? any ideas out there????????????

any ideas coz i need them

i'd just be myself, i hate to dress up for somebody... but thats not what you wanted to hear i guess

How fancy is this dinner party? .. maybe a black coctail dress with heels? .. I'd either wear a dress that falls just below the knee.. maybe one with a little punch of color. My favorite dress is turquois with a bit of beading just under the bust.. nothing too fancy but still nice. Or maybe a knee length or just below the knee black a line skirt and a dressy camisol? .. :dunno: just a few suggestions. :) Wear something that fits your body shape well and that your comfortable in :)

Is it black tie...formal, business casual...they are all different.

hm..knowing me ..I would wear something I could be comfortable in ex. would if there is some kind of activity at this dinner party? lol.. well always be prepared..so dressy pants, and a nice shirt..simple

Yeah, what kind of dinner party? I have gone to state level affairs in a tux, a suit, in costume and in a bathing suit. Please specify so that we can help.

Dress for the occasion as always. It's not about "not being yourself". In some cases it's showing respect towards others.

You go to a wedding and you dress up, granted you don't HAVE to, the couple getting married would forgive you. But out of appreciation for the situation, you dress up. Usually in something which still compliments you and reflects upon who you are.
Everything I've done, and all that I have yet to do, is only to forget the meaning of your name.

OK. You want a slim black dress, length no higher that half-calf. Hair and make-up must be done exquisitely. Make-up should not be ostentatiously obvious. High Heels of course, spikes. REAL jewelry, not costume...these people will know. Do not forget about manicuring your hands and feet. Nail polish should be austere...no fancy-dan decorating of the nails. French cut or uni-color. Perfume should be light, but a night blooming flower, a scent that lingers but does not overpower. Panty-hose is needed...no bare legs. It is OK for your dress to be strapless or shoulder less but avoid any plunging neckline or back. Sleeves should be either non-existent or wrist length. Nothing with sleeves ending mid biceps. No more than one ring on your fingers and one set of earring in your ears. Remove any tongue, nose or chin rings UNLESS something like a nose ring is a traditional part of your cultural upbringing. A SMALL corsage would be tasteful and maybe a subtle flower or decorated comb in the hair.

I hope this helps.

(Oh yeah...no halitosis!)
