you to a lot. It is a very very dirty business and you ladies really should know
that from the start.
As a photographer I have been propositioned by models, directors and producers
alike.
The first time I was propositioned was in France in 1985. I was photographing a
fashion show for a magazine. At the After Party, a man came up to me and told me
that there were some top players in the game who wanted to meet me and were
interested in promoting my work. We went to a back room where the owners of some
top name clothing and perfume companies were drinking, doing coke and a couple
actually getting blow jobs, one from a model from the show and another from a
young boy. I sort of froze and then was in a daze while I was led around the
room and introduced to people. I was given a drink and a seat and, weirdly
enough, the conversation was normal, questions and such about my work, other
conversations going on about this and that, and people walking in and out of the
room, some in various states of high and undress. AFter a while I was told by a
man that he really liked me and would be glad to be my sponsor and put me on the
fashion show circuit as his company's representative and do all of their
photography. He asked if he could give me a blow job. I do not know how loud my
'No' was, but I do know people looked around at me and then I was escorted out
of the room by a lady who told me that what I did was not wise because these
people control the industry.
New York, Miami, Los Angelos, Rio, Milan...men telling me that for sex they
could give me a career.
Models have approached me, offering sex after they have seen some of the models,
actors, singers and other types of celebrities in my portfolio. They usually
start by asking how well I know the celebs and whether I am in touch with them.
They want to know if I can make introductions and *ahem* how grateful
they would be.
Both types of situations have been extremely awkward for me. I am proud to say
that intestinally I am still and always intend to be, hymenally intact. And, oh
God, the beauty of those ladies I said 'no' too. I am no prude. I have had a few
tristes with models when we have hit it off well and everyone understands that
there are no strings attached. However, I steadfastly refuse to be either in the
pimping game or the prostitution game. Besides, women who are willing to trade
their bodies for favors scare the heck out of me! I couldn't do it with my body
and it totally flabergasts me that there are models who actually offer
themselves up. Being pressured into having sex and giving in I can understand
even if I do not agree with it, but I have yet to fathom the mentality of those
who volunteer. And quite simply, I do not engage in something I do not
understand. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should  |

Sure sleeping around is one possible way to have things work out, but at the
same time they could just be using you and filling your head with pretty little
lies. And you will forever be a hollow shell of your former self.
Hard work and making my own decisions are the only thing which got me where I
was. And got me out of it before I became nothing more then a corrupt individual
like the rest of them.
I can not tell you how many times people would say "I wish I had your life" or
"Oh, I wish I was you."
I just shook my head and said "No, you don't."
Carib: Oh I've got friends who decided to take the other route. And by all
means, if they want to do that it's fine, but keep your dirty hands off me.

that is to walk away.
Like even if the job may be good it would be nothing but dirty money the end of
the day.
Would anyone want to be spending that?
There may be a few of these in this industry, but sometimes whats worse is they
are empty promises, they just run off after and you get nothing!
The best thing is to do it the safe way to do what you yourself earn and not

I too was a photographer.
My hands and conscience are clean. But don't worry...there was never any danger
of them being on you. hee hee.

You're welcome. I hope describing some of my experiences helped alert people
that there is a filthy, slimy, sleazy side to this business and that I was able
to be successful without participating in the muck. People, try not to let
yourself be seduced by the dark side and traded from john to john, getting worn

Just... My mind was wondering and I was reminiscing on events in the past of
chance run in's with crack heads whom made their "career" by screwing everyone
and everything.
They are all the same... you see em once in a blue moon, they just always
randomly show up, having sex with whom you happen to be covering that evening.
And they are always the type that do this... "OmG!!! How are you!! I haven't
seen you in forever, I miss you!" And dive in for a really big full body hug,
usually in front of everyone, and the camera.
*hangs head*
My industry was all about favors, and lots of them, if you don't have those then
you really don't have anything.
I just made sure those favors, both giving and taking, were not of a sexual
orientation.Everything I've done, and all that I have yet to do, is only to forget the meaning of your name. |
