photographer and then the underlings. Would that be the same, or would we be
working in shifts or at the same time?
Or more, photographer, light technician and stylist. oh doh forgot the model
lol, well a few models too!
Where would this all happen if you get enough people?Howdy.I'm a 18 year old half asian from Ireland who really would love to get with an agency who can get her exposure or anything please look at my profile and get back to me |

ID: 177941 Posts: 172 | Date: 2007-05-03 15:27 Hi Rafal. I'm not sure what you're talking about here.
There is already a model/photographer forum based in NI, but frequented and used
by a lot of models and photographers in the Republic. However this is a very
quiet forum. The reality is that there are very few freelance models in Ireland
and most photographers I talk to have trouble finding a (good/suitable) model.
If you are a photographer - and it states in your profile that you are looking
for models for TFP, then I don't understand what you are talking about here.
Working in shifts? I don't think there is a market for shift work.
On the other hand I also get the impression that you are looking for
photographers and others to learn from, and share ideas with?
Maybe if you try to write simple sentences we can understand your
English.......and possibly help.
Good luck!
Lolo. |

ID: 182744 Posts: 1748 | Date: 2007-05-03 15:53 Sounds like what you are proposing is a full service advertising and public
relations agency. That is typically what we call over here a project management
team and the particular team is put together broken from employees at the agency
based on the client and individual talents. Such a team is run by a project
manager and answerable to an account manager. Concepts are conceived, roughed
out, test shot, test marketed, presented to client, edited, represented and
tested before an selected audience, vetted and then put out to agencies for
solicitation of models and other needed talent and then compiled into a final
marketing product.
If this type of collaboration is what you are referring to, it already exists in
every marketing firm in town and the employees all have advanced degrees in
their chosen field of expertise.
It is a rough game for amateurs and you had better be willing to put in more
than a full time day to make it work, especially since existing agencies do not
let go of their clients easily. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

Ahhh...Okay. Now I get it. You are trying to arrange what is called a Group
Shoot. And you wish to do this type of thing on a regular basis. Ok. That's done
often enough.
You need to determine a location and probable day/time. Studio shoot? Outdoor
shoot? Some other venue like an old factory, castle, night club during closed
hours?
Next you need to decide if the group shoot will be TFCD or if a fee will be paid
to participate. If you have to pay for your venue, then a small fee could be
charged to cover that. Another way of doing it is to charge only the
photographers. This works because the photographers get to shoot five to ten
models for the price of one. Each model gets paid the day's wage, the togs get
marketable prints. Here's the math: Say a nice location like an old factory
charges you 150 to rent it. You recruit 10 models, promise them 200 pounds for 4
or 5 hours work. Recruit ten photographers, promise them they will have four or
five hours open shoot with 10 models. Charge them 250 pounds per tog to shoot,
they retain rights, but most provide 10 protfolio images to each model. You
collect 2500 pounds. Pay out 2000 pounds to the models. Pay out 150 to the
factory owner. Have left back 350 pound. Pay yourself 200 pound for your
trouble. Bank the remaining 150 pound to plan your next event (this time with
refreshments).
So, you have your shoot location, your date, and a fee structure set. Now you go
and promote your project to Jurgita models and photographers near your area.
Give them six to eight weeks notice to mull over the prospect, hear about it
through the grape vine, decide they want to do it and find the cash out of their
drinking money or child support payments. Keep posting notices and updates about
the shoot and get a discussion going in the forum. Engage in a back and forth
about clothing ideas, the neatest spot in the factory to shoot, making a list of
models signed up and togs signed up, putting together the schedule of who shoots
which models in what order and the time limit.
Continue staying up late nights working out all the logisitics.
Have a fantastic shoot. Post ASAP to the forum images from the shoot and great
advertising for the next group shoot.
Something like that you thinking of? Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

Carib Goodies: You are very close to my idea, Your post help me understand a lot
about it
this is always all about money ... before I start doing something for money I want be sure doing
it right. also others (participants, most photographers) can choose what We do
next, something bigger (with pay for extras - location etc.).
my topic was posted for starting discuss about this idea maybe someone around
doing something like this, and I don't know about it?
THX to everyone for reply
I have seen models and photographers get together for something like this many
times. Sometimes they charge a fee, sometimes not. But usually everyone there
has fun and get exciting prints out of it. I know last Christmas this was done
by some people in London. They met at one person's house, a bunch of models,
photographers and a couple MUAs and had a blast shooting late into the night
while opening presents and drinking and carousing. Some very interesting
pictures came out of the evening and I know a couple of them were bought and
published for advertising. That event was a free event, but the owner of the
house had final say over who got listed on the invite list. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

ID: 185214 Posts: 1299 | Date: 2007-05-04 13:56 This was actually done recently in Ireland. It were held by another site though
down in wexford.
No money were involved unless you were staying down there.
Only make them pay if there needs to be fees paid as in if you need to rent
somewhere.
Not everyone is made of money, specially not the amature photographers who may
still be in college and the likes.
And then again why should the models be getting paid and the photographers have
to pay?
In the end is the experience not the pay itself?Howdy.I'm a 18 year old half asian from Ireland who really would love to get with an agency who can get her exposure or anything please look at my profile and get back to me |
