Tips On Finding An Agency

Hi.
I know there is usually brilliant advice given out in the Jurgita forum - and today I'm looking for some.

Basically my situation is as follows - I am interested in modelling, and finding an agency. I am 5'2" .... almost.

So, obviously, I cannot apply for catwalk, and a lot of agencies are not even interested in anyone smaller than 5'7" or 5'8". However it looks like I could potentially apply for commercial modelling.

So.........what's the best thing for me to do? I live in Ireland.
Should I apply for agencies in Ireland only?
Should I mail the agencies or physically go in and get them?
Are there events I could go to that would help?
Are there people I could get to know who could help?
Any other general tips for me?

Thanks guys.

Lolo.

I wish I could help :) :dunno:
I am still here

take your pictures and apply to agencies everywhere you wish to work. you dont have to restrict yourself to Ireland alone. since you can do picture modelling, you should have a chance. good luck

Thanks for the reply and advice Busola.

yeah, i agree with Busola, doing commercial modelling for me is even more fun than runway.

you could even register with other agencies online, they really help and it puts you on the international market.

you are beautiful, don't save all that beauty for ireland alone.:D

ciao dear!:saint:

Hello jolie demoiselle :)
Mmh i'll try to reply but I'm from Paris so I dunno if it works like this in Ireland...:endecided:

Should I apply for agencies in Ireland only?
You can try agencies from over the world of course, but it depends:
Are you able to travel?
Do you have enough money?
Are you sure they're gonna make you work?
And all the bla bla bla... come to france haha. :) or England.

Should I mail the agencies or physically go in and get them?
Generally agencies do not directly see people, you need to send your pictures first. You can apply on the Internet for example, and they'll get back to you if they like you. Then they'll give you an appointment to meet you .

Are there events I could go to that would help?
I don't know how it works in Ireland but here, sometimes yes. There are events for photographers/agencies/models.

Are there people I could get to know who could help?
Photographers! If they know agencies they can help you. Sometimes models can.

Any other general tips for me
Don't spend too much money to travel or stuff like that ;) if you're sure you'll get a profit then do it, but if you're not, don't. Especially if there are good agencies in Ireland. Don't go too far! :)
Good luck!

Busola's right. You should not restrict your modeling career (if ever it already starts :D) to Ireland alone. Here's a tip. Spread the beauty!!!:proud:
"Our hearts are drunk with a beauty our eyes could never see." :cantlook:

I wouldn't worry too much about your height...you can make it...work hard and keep trying:thumbup: youre gorgeous! :D
