Can anyone help me!
I would like to know how I should go about appling to agencies?
Thanks
Grant
Ps . If any agency is interested just holla!
:muscle:

try contacting them on jurgita first
:lips:sexy:lips:

Check out local agencies and national ones, search contact details either on here or their websites.
Arrange appointments in local ones and put your portfolio onto a cd rom and send it out to national ones with your stats and experience etc. It makes it easier then travelling around all of the UK to the different agencies
Also look out for open days and casting calls for agencies.
Live life to the max and never look back!

Hey Im a make-up artist based in India and want to work in UAE,EUROPE and US.. any HELP??

make more portfolio & send them through to the agencies.

I would search on the internet , there are meny around

While Ford or IMG are definately some of the best agencies around, i'd suggest getting an address of a smaller agency, like John Robert Powers, and bringing a portfolio in. If they like it, it's safe to say that you might have what it takes. If they don't like it, then you won't be wasting your time with another agency. And look around for open casting calls in your area, and always carry a portfolio with you if you're going to the amll or something; you never know when you might be spotted... :]

I would search away from the internet, like in phone books. There are many without a significant internet presence.

The place to look for one, incidentally, is wherever a marketing executive would look for one. And if you don't know where that is, contact some largish companies in your area and talk to marketing executives and ask!

I wonder whats best...
Go chasing after an agency?
Or letting them chase you?
:dunno: LOL! :D

If u sit back and wait to b chased u might as well grow toothless waiting:D The industry is crowded and everyone needs to get recognised. One of th main reasons we are here:muscle:

Altho some agencies will contact you th best thing is you be on th fore front n go after them:muscle:

I recently had a local photographer tell me not to take anymore pictures-the ones I have are fine. He said an agency does not want to see that kind and will send you to their photographer. If this is true, how do you build a portfolio? It seems contradictory almost.

sometimes, the pictures u have are fine, but sometimes somewhere you feel , i am still missing something.

Its what your looking for in them, or what agencies look for in them. :)

Well you do not have a portfolio yet..And you also do not have polaroids which is required. Maybe the photographer had in mind that agencies will do polaroids - that is a must. Im talking about polaroids but do you know what it is? :D There is an articles somewhere in jurgita about polaroid pictures.
Love to Love

Ok, this is where I am a bit confused. Maybe you guys can help out on this... I was told by many that polaroids are only for agencies that do stuff like the catwalk (High fashion). Since Cheri' (my daughter) is only 5'5" she doesn't have that option, only commercial modeling. So those are the kind of agencies that we have sent photos to. On their websites they say they want pretty much any photo or like 4X6 prints. Can someone straighten me out on what I actually need to be sending? :cantlook:

first just better your porfoilio if you ahvent already...if your taking modeling seriously ..thats pretty much the first stpe...do some tfcd work for a start....;)
.:*~Liz~*:.

Yes, that is what I have done. A few TFP and TFCD. I wasn't thrilled with most of the photos so I was going to do a shoot with a local here. He is the one that said that it was not needed. See why I am a little confused? I have some good shots but think that I need a few that just click... I have a later scheduled shoot (with yet another photog) early November. I guess new pictures could'nt hurt and maybe send those out to agencies insted of polariods? One gys says one thing, another says something completely different. What is the best way to get the attention of an agency?

What about signing up with websites that say they will show your photos to all major modelling agencies? I've seen a couple of them. They require a fee but I don't know how effective they are. Has anyone tried this out?
