I used to have an 8 pac about 2 years ago but it slipped away thats to college
and constant partying
I've been training for the past few weeks and dieting of no fat, high protein
foods, to try and get it back.....cardio (running 30 mins or so using sprint and
jog intervals) and sometimes the odd cycle for an hour on the weekends.
I usually target my lower abs with leg raises and the bicycle technique but I
still can't seem to hit the lower of my abs to shap them??? Doing 3 sets of
around 20-30 daily
Any advice to target this area would be much appreciated |

here?
Hanging leg raises work well, as do cross-over rope crunches. Typically though,
if you have had them in the past, they are still there.
May I suggest adding fat to your diet and limiting carbs? Typically good fat,
such as omega-3's ans 6's help your body shed more subcutaneous fat. |

| Date: 2008-05-23 20:04 If you do not continually maintain your body, you will lose it. I was pretty
built up back in my day, I'm 59 now. I used regular weights, barbells/dumbells
only. Ran and worked out on punching bags. Now I given up my 6-pack for a
keg!!
Drinking will pile the weight on for sure. |

Depends on your make up somewhat also I guess! My dad is nearing your age yet
has flat tight tum and walks loads, he drinks beer regular but unlike many does
not put on weight or lose that physique, so maybe it is input and lifestyle in
addition to just the occasional thoughts of fitness and food, drink? |

| Date: 2008-05-24 05:38 Alex, Guess it is all in the genes. Main thing, keep active,
get a yearly physical.
Sidenote: One lady took you to task about model being Irish. Picky. If she was
from Northern Ireland is she UK, Irish or must you be from Ireland itself to be
considered Irish.
I have Scot and Irish in me from great grandparents. You handeled it well,
always the gentleman. Doesn't Manchester have a soccer (Futbol) team that is
famous? |

Genes probably have a little to do with it I guess yes! You are right about
keeping active and regular check-ups, I'm sure alot of people could avoid many
aillments by doing that!
Oh don't get on the Irish v English and the whole UK thing
Ireland itself is very much a seperate country from that and it was my slip not
too notice, however, I am very sociable and in my effort to welcome someone from
just slightly over the water I inadvertantly upset an onlooker who wished to
make the point that Ireland was an independant country! Perhaps a bit quick to
leap on me for such, but such is life
Manchester and soccer teams, ha ha Need you ask Ralph? Manchester United and
Manchester City both top class teams and the former being the most well known i
guess and supported Worldwide it seems! |

the sixpak's once... over some bird in a bar in greece, I left with the girl &
he was left holding his knackers trying to get up doesn't save a
guy from my knee!
I'll admit I'm not the thinnest guy on earth but I'm not fat either... but I am
quite fit & my reflexes are quick best opt for martial arts |

Oh I love it lol! Can't look! Ouch! Yup I just love to hear experiences like
that
I had to help deliver some body building stuff to an Exhibition of fitness where
they had Model Guys all Pumped Up and looking the part!
They were asked to help me and they were out of breath on the stairs in seconds
They had
built Muscles for no reason and had no stamina it was sad
Alot to be said for quick mind, reflexes and a swift kick in the b**l*ck* ha ha
I agree! |

guys with the six pack bodies are all gay, then the 90's is when there was all
that steroid business going around & that gave body building a bad name too!
I've never been interested in doing it |

Well the guy that ran this whole bodybuilding fitness topic area initially (NOT
NIALL) actually got loads of replies and many many girls asking him for help,
his flowers and comments were at many a young girls page if I remember from when
I use to look in at Jurgita back then, yet as a fitness guru, he never had a
photo himself for someone so into fitness? Just photos of fit lasses which
others saw as successes!
By looking at the initial postings it was William who appears to be addressing
the fact he is over-weight at the start, then going on to give advise or maybe I
read them wrong? He was a Photographer also I understand and despite being based
in Alaska members in Europe and the USA have told me that he offered them Hmmm
work or sorts!
Again just my observations |
