| Date: 2007-06-09 14:24 I've had a bit of problems with my website, people saying it's not good enough
etc, but could a few people have a look at my website and tell if it up to the
task!
An image gallery will be added soon before anyone mentions it!
If you could tell me what you think of it then i will be very grateful! |

| Date: 2007-06-09 18:23 Spelling errors and no pictures, what's the point of this website? What's
someone supposed to think?, there's nothing there.
You should consider finishing the website before putting it online and have
someone who knows about that kind of thing tweak it up for you first.
Hopefully you will have better pictures to put up as well, the pictures here
just look like ordinary bad bullseye snapshots that anyone with a disposable
camera could take.
If you want to sell your skills as a photographer, you should have something to
sell that stands out.
Not to be rude but LEARN the basics about photography and you'll have greater
success. |

comments of Ian. You can be an amateur with aspirations, but photography as a
professional involves more than access to a camera and an computer.
The cameras are very smart these days, but they do not substitute for learning
about the art and the various techniques employed in producing worthwhile
images. Everyone knows of artists such as Picasso, who became famous with art
that violated all the rules, few understand that Picasso was an excellent
craftsman at an early age, able to draw stunningly good images from life. He
mastered the basics before he broke the rules.
You say you are underage and you have chosen to present rather pedestrian photos
of little girls and that you are more comfortable working with children.
Understand that you are treading in dangerous waters and sounding kind of
creepy. With the internet full of people with sexual hangups, anything smacking
of pedophilia will draw attention you may not want. It's one thing to be a proud
papa or grandpa, my grandkids are in my portfolio with no regrets, but I have
many more kinds of images to represent my interests and abilities.
Here's your mission, should you choose to accept it: Go to a library and find
out what the rule of thirds is with regard to art and photography. Then, think
of the worst possible thing--the last thing in the worlds you find
interesting--perhaps old people in a nursing home or homeless drunks. Whatever
it is that you are least interested in, go and photograph that subject or
subjects, using the information you gained while researching the rule of thirds
(which will not all apply to every subject) so thoroughly that anyone viewing
your work will think it is your only passion.
There are things floating in a gutter near you that can make fascinating images
if you look for them. Sure, I spend much of my time now photgraphing flowers,
but when I was young I spent a lot of time concentrating on trash and I got paid
for it.If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try! |

| Date: 2007-06-11 04:53 Thanks for all your help but for charles who is saying that i'm a pedofile, the
truth is, they are the only models i have photographed so far, therefore they
are the only pictures of models i can put on my profile.
It's not like i zoomed into anything nasty, infact if you really think these
photos are pedofiliac then i will quite happily take them off and put the
example images back onto my profile which really do not show my work which means
i won't get any further in my photographer career.
The comment of me being underage was ment in a way of, because i'm only 17, i am
not legally allowed to take pictures of nude models. I also do work better with
children as i'm not sure how I or the model would feel if i was younger than
them.
But ok, i'll take of my website yet again, delete my profile and give up on this
career as you're basically saying i'm not cut out enough to be a
photographer.
Thank you. |
