**getting ready for your critics** :cantlook:

Say everything you wanna say.. just be honest, please. :D
Uhmm.. remember, it really is just an ordinary pic. :D
It's not a VTR or anything. :D
Again, just say anything about it, ok?

The color seems way too red, the size is very small so that other detail can't be seen. If your original is larger just resize it down to about 800 pixels vertical or horizontal. If it is off a print you may need to rescan.
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!

ohh please critic mine too
:)

Actually, quite interesting with the color bit faded in at the candy. Still, the date stamp would have been better turned off. It detracts.

Overall, it suffers from the wide-angle effect of a small camera shot close to the subject, better to use the longest lens setting. It is a good concept, but needed pre-planning.

Yet, it still shows your remarkable beauty.

oh:embarassed: thanks Charles for the critic. and thank you for last sentence;)

The first picture is too small to make a proper judgement, at the moment it looks a bit too red.

this one's not bad at all... there're programs out there you can use to edit the pic in such a way that the color is really just limited to a specific object.. because in this case, you also got some color on your hands... it would look so much better like that.. also, you can make the red a little brighter so that it really really stands out.. finally, maybe an adjustment to the ISO settings so that the picture isn't too grainy.

Rick, the picture you have of Stacey is really good, very good. The image has nice composition, excellent sharp focus on the face, especially the eyes and nice soft focus on the background. The model has a nice pose and expression. However, the image you just posted has very little of the above qualities. If you are going solely for a headshot then you need to determine what it is you are trying to portray. I would like to see the eyes in sharp focus, as the viewer is draw to them. However, when the model is wearing sunglasses you lose this point of focus. The image leaves me uncertain of what you trying to show.

apologies I thought it was Rick that made the post.
Clarisse see Ricks picture. This is what you should strive for

And wahat do you think obout this one?

Mike Jones:
apologies I thought it was Rick that made the post.
No problem.

And thanks for the thumbs-up on my picture of Stacey :)

Santa P.:

And what do you think about this one?

I'd say the photog did a nice job. However, the model looks bored. It's not a pose or expression that grabs the attention. The image comes across as flat. see the facial section of this link for a further definition of flat. http://www.squidoo.com/modelingtips/

No probs Audra! you should ask Mike jones or if he is snowed under then one of our other photographer friends here to look at that pic with teddy that you have on portfolio, they may be able to sharpen it up Audra! Alternatively maybe you should change that one for a sharper one that will show you clearer and complete your portfolio pics!

Best wishes
MIKE!
