NEVER ... YOU have to contact the Agency ... and YOU have to go there :endecided:
good agencies gets a lot of e-mails every day ... with a lot of bad - but also a lot of good photos ...
Tomorrow must be the longest day  because everything is scheduled on it

I would imagine that agencies have more models than they can handle trying to get onto their books. I doubt if they have the time, or need, to go searching online for them. If you want to join a particular agency your best bet would be to put together the best portfolio you can and go to them.

ArteMaXX has his finger on the pulse of things!

I think I will elaborate a bit further:

Well, first, Jurgita is an agency.

Two, there are a number of agencies active on this site and for the most part they are utilizing the site to promote their signed models not necessarily sign new models.

Three, number two should tell you something vitally important!

Four, I do not know of any agency that actively locates talent through the internet. No real reason to as well as the fact that it is extremely difficult to properly manage talent ten thousand miles away from your base. The logistics are utterly gruesome.

Five, a wait and see approach is the kiss of death. There is nothing wrong with one being proactive and pushing yourself in front of people. Agencies do get deluged with model wannabees. Everyone want to be a famous model! But if you don't keep throwing your hat into the ring you severely restrict your chances of getting noticed. A number of models do take the bull by the horn and contact me directly (I am not an agency) asking if I have anything they would be suited for. I do not mind the inquiries and have actually selected some people for photo assignments who initiated contact with me. Honestly, most people who contact me, I do not have work for, but that does not mean they shouldn't drop me a line once in a while because things do pop up. And agencies, though they are more streamlined to handle it, do have one problem in common with me. Over the years you deal with thousands of models. There is no way in the world I can remember everyone who has contacted me. And sometimes a job will come up for which a prior contact would be perfect for. However, the chances of me remembering that particular individual from even a year ago are very slim. So, I will likely select someone else who is more current in my mind.

Bottom line is: The Lord helps those who help themselves. Solicit, advertise, make yourself known, but don't make a pest out of yourself.
:cantlook: Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should

No agency worth its name would scan the internet looking for models.

Treat with suspicion any agency that approaches you from an internet contact - some way down the line they will ask you to pay them money - either for a 'portfolio' or a 'photo session'.
Ask yourself - WHY do they need to charge you if they are sure that they can get you work - how is it they aren't confident that they recover their costs from the commission they get from the work they find you ?

The rule in dealing with ANY agency is NEVER, repeat NEVER, give out any money.
Genuine agencies will work on commission - no work for you , no income for them.

A few agencies ask you to pay for a photo session for your portfolio - this may be acceptable, but watch the cost - personally, I would advise you not to do it.

The strategy is this - get some images done - a couple of headshots, half body shots and full-body shots. There are loads of good amateur photographers who will do you these for free just to get some practice - they will be good enough to show an agency.

Good agencies can tell if you are what they are looking for to suit their portfolio of clients from a reasonable image.

The point is this - YOU have to do the work - no genuine agency is going to come knocking on your door.
Make several copies of the photos that you get done and PHONE UP AGENCIES NEAR TO YOU from the Yellow Pages and ask them if they might be interested in looking at your photos and ask them what they are looking for. In the UK don't go to an agency without making an appointment.

While you are sat at home waiting for emails from the internet other people are pushing themselves forward to agencies.

If you haven't got the drive to push yourself , don't give up your day job

not had any.
:lips:sexy:lips:

non here either, but like they said you should contact the agencies.

so maybe we have to try that. thanks though.:saint:
