getting. You have a couple 100% and others ranked lower. That should give you a
basis of what people like and don't like. Adjust from there. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

you have limit. |

and try taking some outside including full body and closeups.
Alternatively find a photographer near you and do some TFP.
Slightly better pics could give you a WOW portfolio ***** Spring approaches and soon the fairies will awaken ***** |

the roof earlier and a flock of thrushies. Disgusting birds.
Your portfolio is a tool more than a glamour statement. You can have a tool all
fancy and pretty as the dickens, but if it is not manufactured to the specs of
the job at hand, well, it just ain't worth dickens, is it?
A portfolio is about getting your noticed and getting you sales. There is a
segment of your audience that wants to see, meet and greet a pretty face and
shapely body and then there is the more professional segment that wants to see a
useful person.
We judge you on your face, hair and figure au naturale.
Step one: Get yourself a series of what we call "polaroids" taken. These are six
basic, very simple shots done without make-up, without adornments and without
fancy clothing and busy backgrounds. They are best if taken in a modest bathing
suit or leotards.
1) A close-up of the bust: Your face and upper torso, facing the camera.
2) The same thing shot from the side. (Think police mug shot)
3) Full body shot facing the camera.
4) Full body shot, back to the camera
5) Full body shot sideways to the camera
6) Full body shot facing the camera, arms outstretched.
These plain, simple shots are how industry professionals, such as model
agencies, determine what they can do with you.
Put that basic requirement in place and then you can start dealing with other,
prettier pictures to show some of your talent. Personally I, nor any of the
scouts or agents I have met, are impressed or swayed by the fancy-dan shots
people seem to think make a great portfolio. Don't get me wrong, those shots
have their place and you might lose business from the amateur and semi-pro
photographers without them. But the people who can sign you to contracts put
more stock in the "Polaroids".
What goes great in a portfolio are shots that show you have experience
commercially or on the runway. Shots that show that there is a demand for you
somewhere. Shots that show that other people have been able to work well with
you.
Again, this is not an absolute requirement. A large number of super models had
little or no experience before being discovered. A few were not even interested
in modeling!
Every bit of exposure helps. What also helps is showing in your portfolio that
you are serious and not just another kid running a flag up the pole and seeing
if anyone salutes. Get grounded and place serious working shots in your
portfolio. Close-ups at weird angles, blurry self portraits and
'fun/just-playing-around' or 'boredom' shots, leave for MySpace. Your Portfolio
is both a job application and an audition. Treat your presence on Jurgita the
same way you would treat any employer you need a job from...you present yourself
professionally and you come prepared. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

that they ignored the technical problems. If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try! |

your portfolio. You obviously have the looks, a good portfolio will help you not
only in showing what you can do but that you are also serious about modelling.
Anyone can take a few shots with a digital camera and create a page on Jurgita,
making the effort to build a quality portfolio will show potential employers
that you are serious. |
