Hello. I am new here and dont know how does it work . Did the Agencies contact u or must u contact anyone i dont know... maybe they dont want contact me because my pictures are not good ...?...

In general, agencies don't need to go scouting for models, as they get too many knocking on their doors as it is.

To be successful, get some basic pictures done (head shot & full-length) and then contact a couple of agencies in your area and see what they advise you to do.

Just a word of caution: if their advice consists of "pay us hundreds of Euros for a photo shoot and registration etc and then we'll put you on our books" then treat it with extreme caution as that's the hallmark of the scam "agencies"!

The same is normally true of agencies approaching girls - and on the rare occasion that a talent scout picks you off the street, they'll not be offended if you want to discuss it with your parents before taking it any further.

Welcome, Shara:D
You've got looks that should get your feet planted in this industry:cool:...So that's a PLUS in your port, already!;)

:cool:RICK:proud:...I could kiss ya for telling it straight forward & being courteous enough to gently WARN against the exploiting advantage point of mild extortion of young & vulnerable models...
I LOVE GUYS LIKE YOU!!!...This is the stuff REAL GENTLEMEN are made of!!!:lips::lips::muscle::saint:
Alot of guys lead them on to get subtle performance through bribery of sweet talk!
Smell the B.S.?...Sure everyone wants a juicy compliment, but at what cost does it come?

PS:) BTW: I have had experience with being approached by both scam & real deals...
Legitimate Agencies require at least 3 no makeup photos:
Usually Serious Basic Initial Requirements consist of the following first steps for submission qualifications:
1) Headshot
2) Form fitting or swimsuit of full length body shot
3) One with a SMILE

Hey Shara!
It works like any other networking area, you just do your best and get yourself seen!
Keep your portfolio interesting, try to link a website or area where you have more photos to your portfolio here maybe! But be cautious of the contact info that you show or give out, remember at 14 you should be getting parental consent for any photos used by others!

Like Ricks says, please watch out for the agencies that wish you to part with money, they are nearly always scams to make money for themselves, any agency with a good portfolio of clients and good, current work would not need to take money from aspiring models!

I am currently making the 'Aspiring Teen Talents' page at my Jewellery website into a more comprehensive and on-going area, giving a free platform for aspiring Models and talents to show additional photos and comment, so Shara if you would like to be included in that, please let me know ok?

Best wishes from

MIKE!

Just to elaborate on this, I'm sure Shara will be able to find a photographer in her part of Germany to work with to get these pictures, as the initial pictures need not be of professional quality - the agency wants to see her, not the stunning work of a pro photographer. Then they will be well-placed to advise her on the next steps, which might include getting portfolio pictures with a professional.

Of course, there will be the chance of rejections, and at Shara's height she is of course not going to be tall enough for catwalk work, but there is plenty of catalogue and editorial work which needs good models, and that might be Shara's best target.

The main point about rejections is to take away what you can by way of any feedback and try to work with it to improve your skills and your presentation. However, there's also the point worth mentioning that being rejected by an agency one day does not mean you've failed - it simply means that you didn't fit what that individual was looking for on that particular day. There's nothing to stop you from approaching the same agency again 2 or 3 months later - assuming you've taken on board any comments which they might have offered - and trying again. Persistence alone has been known to pay off as it shows a commitment and dedication.

Just a P.S. to Shara: I know you're in Germany, but if you were to come to Britain on holiday during the summer, give me a shout and I'd help you with getting those basic shots, and give you some practice in front of the camera at the same time.

If you'd make the effort, then so would I. :)

ThankX a lot :) for the offer to make some Pictures if i come to UK... U all are very nice to me . :lips:

Well rick similarly I offered Shara the opportunity to be added at my site which she expressed an interest in, but it seems since starting here she then discovered forum! to then discovering flirt zone lol! Shara obviously has put the emphasis on other things lol!
It's amazing how serious these younger models are! In fact it's a mine field lol!
I have some great serious aspiring talents currently and they are focussed on what they want and their particular talents !
