I can't stand celebrities in general. I'm from Chicago. I came across several
famous people including michael jordan, cuba gooding junior, etc. when I worked
at a neighborhood restaurant/bar a couple years ago. & you know what? I
NEVER treated them any differently from anybody else. If I ever
got famous I'd probably still be going to the same dive bars I go to today.
Americans are so caught up in celebrity culture that they lose themselves. It is
mindless distraction from what's going on in the rest of the world, (i.e IRAQ)
or even from crime & poverty in their own neighborhood. It's just another one of
the government's tools to keep people occupied. Idol hands are the devil's
playthings, right?
The Star System has always been the slut of Capitalism. That's the way it works
and that's the way poor people can accept to stay poor. I agree with you: I've
met a few so-called "celebrities" but didn't feel anything in being very close
to them.
But the Internet era changed this all again. Even a so-called celebrity should
understand they come and go very quickly now because when you can see millions
of faces, it gets boring to always see the same ones
BTW, I like Paris Hilton. She's a bit dumb but she's not dumb when she uses her
money to do what she pleases without caring what people will say. That's the
proof in a Capitalistic system you can just buy some respect.
She has a nice body as well |
