Do u guys go for looks or personality in a girl? :embarassed:

Ha - that's easy! Blokes are driven far more visually than anything else, at least until they're 30-something

I'm sure there's a very good sociological reason for it, but I couldn't tell you what without researching it. I'm sure Karl will be along soon with a full explanation, though :)

i guess it depends on the guy. but most guys go for the physical appearance first.
:lips:sexy:lips:

looks first, then personality.

does it make sense?

At risk of offending the whole of my gender lol! I guess as a sweeping generalisation it is because men unlike women are not as open about their feelings and consequently often do not look for what they really want until a little older! Does that make sense!

Take that as a pure generalisation and observation all men reading please lol!

I have to agree with you.

Men are predators and there is a certain stage in men's lives when they do not know how to control their predatory nature. (We're not talking about the criminal sexual predator here.)

Your predator, say a cougar, knows that deer tastes the best. But for one reason or another he cannot get deer. Deer may be scarce, may be being hunted by bigger or better predators, or the cougar may feel he is not good enough to catch a deer. So, the predator settles for rabbit. Catching large numbers of rabbits may give the predator the courage to try for a deer. Or, maybe he's eating a rabbit when a deer comes by. He has this guaranteed meal already in front of him or a juicier potential meal standing in the open. Should he drop the rabbit and chase the deer, not knowing if he will catch it? And, if he chases the deer, will another cougar come by, see his abandoned rabbit, and steal it? Then, if he misses the deer, he won't have any rabbit either.

If you haven't figured it out yet, reread the last paragraph and substitute 'man' for cougar, 'ordinary girl' for rabbit and 'beauty queen' for deer.

Now, think about the behavior of teenage boys.

There'll be the alpha males, the challengers, and the nerds. All have the same goal: catching deer...as many as possible. Some are more successful than others but they, in their youth, all have one thing in common: They chased the deer for its taste, not its value. The rabbit is wholesome and regular and will sustain you through the winter. The deer is fast and fleeting and so much in demand that the competition for who gets the deer is fierce. But when the deer is caught, then what? The cougar can't eat it all one time so a lot of the deer is going to spoil and then the cougar won't want the deer anymore.

It takes years for the cougar to learn this. Ironically, their were rabbits around the cougar all the time while the cougar was growing up, but that wasn't what he thought he wanted. Years later, he realizes that the rabbit is loyal and true, the meat doesn't really taste any worse than deer, and the rabbit will always be around, no matter what. Besides, the cougars body is tired from years of chasing big prey. In the dawning of realization caused by this midlife crisis, the cougar gradually becomes aware of what he really always wanted. Not whether the meal was rabbit or deer, but rather whether the meal was continuous, filling and to his whole beings liking.

He had to learn lessons in his youth before he could see past wanting the illusionary false advertising of the lovely exterior and look inward to find and want instead, what he always needed, and hence, truly wanted: The overall compatible, life sustaining, life lasting, soul of the prey.

Wellllll.....um...a pretty girl without a vagina is not going to hold most men's attention very long. Espicially among the teen to 25 crowd!

Yet still, there are a few minority practitioners of chaste until marriage - a philosophy which embraces personality above sexuality. Thus those few women born without a vagina or possed of a condition rendering their vagina non-functional still have a chance of happiness with an intimate partner.

Ultimately, shouldn;t your partner be your best friend in the whole wide world?

Looks attract instantly, but companionship, introspection of self and others, attracts permanently.

sometime if its for a relation ...
if not for a relation i just look at the body :endecided:
buth then again , if ya meet someone youre intrested in don't you c first ???
i mean i never go to a girl withthe question what's your personality ... i go to a girl cuasse she looks nice and if the pesronalty is great i start to think of a relation

amm...a bit of both...if a girl looks nice, but has no personality ...then its a turn off.

A girl that looks nice and has a personality is perfect.:)

usually it is personality i go for but i wouldnt be bad having both:D

Women likes to flirt.
Men responds to flirting.
Very normal, that is how women and men are supposed to be.
If you are involved in a relationship already women should not flirt and men should not respond to flirting.
I know there is some(both men and women) that breaks this very important rule.
But it is not just men alone that is guilty. The amount of women guilty of this might even be higher than the men.
I myself have never cheated on a woman while I was in a relationship. But I have been guilty of sleeping with women that was at that given time involved in another relationship.
So if most men's brains is in their pants where does that leave the women. Takes two to tango.

Some guys (such as myself) like to flirt, too. I like talking through this forum and through e-mail. Looks don't hurt, though.
