I noticed this summer gals are wearing Ra Ra skirts in the UK! How cool is that! I think they look great! What are your thoughts on this fashion?

Well, those RaRa ruffles would do well in the Eastern Caribbean of mostly French and British islands where they have a staunch belief that it's not female formal wear unless it has ruffles all over the place.

It would be a hit in Puerto Rico too...for church.

That second outfit would also do well among the Hispanics residing here. Night time wear. Bunch of them already wear outfits similar to that. Goes well with the Red Lighting in the district they hang about.

So, the fashion trend in the U.K this year is 'back to the roaring twenties' huh?

Delightful.

But I don't see either style catching on among the majority of our conservative native Virgin Islanders.

The second outfit would do great for a beach shot, though. The first, I could set a nice whimsical scene among some palm trees.

Yes it's wierd how differing communities and cultures still view clothing and looks1 i take on board all your points Karl! We here in the Uk have lived through many differing climates that effect our dressing habits and styles! The uk went through the changes in the 60s and 70s and moulded much of the fashion trends back then!
The eighties brought much more of a feedom of self expression and understanding of cultures, that unfortunately got lost in the 90s through lack of direction!
As a consequence much of the female fashion or should I say lack of took on the Americanisms of just wearing labels and looking more street wise and dare I say 'LADDISH' this has led to many girls in the UK just wearing and looking as they please without much thought or care to how their image is viewed!
That is, and is the only reason why I state that it is refreshing to seea fashion trend return to the Uk that flatters and is back to a more feminine look! I would also say the same of the gipsy Dress look! It does not need to be 'TARTY' the ra ra!

Yes the second outfit would look cool with my jewellery 'OF COURSE' lol!

I spoke to him recently Lucia! I think he is a little busy with shoots as the season out there has just begun!
