Reducing Body Fat

Hey William,

I'm currently at roughly 11% body fat and I need to get it down to about 7-8 percent in 3 weeks.

My diet consists of

8am -- Oatmeal w/ blueberries/strawberries and cinnamon
10am -- a handful of nuts
12am smoothie with soy protein
2pm -- brown rice, 1 cup veggies 4 oz of chicken or tuna
4pm --whey protein shake
6pm-- brown rice, 1 cup veggies 4-6oz of salmon

it's roughly this same diet 7 days a week.

6am--workout
consists of circuit training w/ compound movements, then either 30 minutes of low intensity cardio or 15 minutes of HIIT(high intensity interval training)

My goal besides the body fat reduction is to try and make sure I retain some muscle while losing weight. I know that some will inevitably burn off but I was wondering if you knew of any good amino acids that can help.

my diet:-

1) workout
2) using slimming belt
3) drink high protein shake mixed with whey protein, fruit juice, youghurt
4) herbal tea for detoxification, elliminates trap water in body, energy
5) eat chicken, my favourite food is chicken...yummy!!
6) soup
7) rice with some meals just 3 to 4 times a week
8) eat more vegetable

Hello Westley,
The diet looks excellent! A good amino tablet is made my Beverly International. You can get them from the website. boodybuilding dot com is also a good source.
Now, as for the bodyfat, assuming your workout is as described, you may expect no more than 2 lbs of bodyfat loss per week. However, I do not know your current size, so I can not judge if your calories are correct. Without knowing more, I cant tell you where your bodyfat wille end up.

Give me some more insight into your current physique and I may have more information for you.

Good luck!

Rahirza,
May I suggest that you limit the fruti juice, and if you want fruit, it is in a natural state. That tends to insure that you have all available nutrients with minimal sugar.
Just a suggestion.
Regards,
William

Williiam Hiya! It's Mike in UK! Sorry to deviate from your forum subject, but I wish to ask some advice regarding a really good potential actress who is very different and photogenic in addition? I know this is not quite your area, but I wonder if you could point me in direction of a genuine acting scout?
Thanx
MIKE!

Hi Mike,
What exactly are you looking for? Enlighten me. Scout or an actual jobber?

Thanx for the msg Will! Unfortunately I have let me credit go down to nil here hence replying here! Ah the beauty of Jurgita site lol!

Looking for a Scout in Europe Ideally!

I have someone that needs to be noticed!

MIKE!

Mike, let me know who they are. I am in Germany every two weeks and have lots of contacts in Western Europe.

You need to get yourself a few credits!!

hey william,

thanks for the reply, I'll definitely purchase the described amino tablet. Are there any tweaks to my workout that could expediate the fat loss or is that a sufficient/decent enough work out.

my current stats

i'm 6'1" 180 lbs roughly 11% body fat.(11.2 via the handheld body fat measuring device), i'm not sure what my basal metabolic rate is since my daytime work job is somewhat sedentary.

Westley,
The only thing you can do, realistically, is cycle the diet a little bit. Your overall workout looks good. DOnt get me wrong, after about 4 weeks of that level of cardio, you will need to increase it by about 15 mins to avoid plateauing, however, it is a great start.

By cycling the diet, I woud think that every 3 days, dump all the carbs, and add 2, 1/2 cup servings of either cashews or almonds. This will mix up the body and keep the metabolism high. Plus the nuts are excellent for overall health.

by ALL carbs, does that include even veggies?

No, it doesnt include green veggies, or any other type of primarily insuluable fiber. You can keep in a green salad if you like, just no colored material other than maybe a cabbage. Also, it is good to use balsamic and olive oil on the salad on the high fat days.

Personally, I am no carbs all week, and then have a carb heavyjunk meal on Sat. That reloads my system and keeps my ketosis longer. It works well.

cool,

thank you,

I do usually use olive oil and some sort of vinegar as a dressing, if not that then i squeeze lemon on it.

I'll try this for a bit and see if I get results.

WoW..I MISS William--HUGS to a HARD BODY! ;)..Hello-O-O-..

WELL, as far as diet for me goes:)
1) Strength train/Workout everyday minimum 45min. [Indoor]
2))In addition: Extracurricular energy activities sustained for 30 min. + per day* (for most part)
3) Veggies..Raw or STEAMED..Minimal Flavoring..Takes Intestinal Fortitude to TRAIN those tastebuds for more natural flavors, without dousing every lil' thing!
4) Minimal Low Cal Fruits that work well with my digestive track & rare blood type.
5) FISH...BEANS...NUTS...ZERO RED MEAT!!!
6) Tad bit of Olive Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, occasionally balsamic...Usually PLAIN Salads, when possible.
7) Nonfat...MILK, occasional yogurt...
8) DEFINITE MUST...GREEN TEA...& BOTTLED PURIFIED WATER...CONTINUOUS throughout the day...
9) Mini carbs from semolina pasta, brown rice, grain breads, & wholesome cereals in proper proportions.
10) Minimal ****Vitamin Supplements for my body type/ needs. [Varies]
11) Occasional Soy Powder supplement...Amino Acid Caplets. [Depends Situation]

Kimberley :)

I have never counted calories or worried about body weight (except to gain weight in high school). But I did find out that since November I lost 23 pounds. There are only two things that I did different than normal: I started swimming gain every weekend and I have not bought any vegetables since my garden started producing in December.

Cherry and Roma tomatoes, wax beans, sweet corn, radishes, sweet and hot peppers, onions, turnips, cauliflower, broccoli, parsley, mint, okra, lettuce, Chinese cabbage, watermelon, cantaloupe, celery and pumpkin. I have some asparagus coming up as well, but that is two years to a mature stalk.
:cantlook: Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should

oh that s good producing your own vegetables you got to have some green fingers to get all those crops.
