there, Ideally UK based, but otherwise anywhere in Europe?
I am looking to forge a relationship with such a person regarding finding
suitable openings & opportunities for aspiring Talented Kids n Teens!

notice you Lucia You are very special! I do link to portfolios usually, but
not in this case! I noticed that when I linked Banners directly to other
portfolios from my own site it became very confusing for people to realise where
initially they had first been spotted. I prefer now that people contact me if
they express an interest in an aspiring talent, that way I can filter out any
un-wanted or suspect responses! The reason for this is that people at my site
range from say 8 to 16, so it is a precaution and a responsibility to their
parents.
But, hey Lucia I can do you a Banner no probs, I would be honoured, do you want

It is not my wish - It is their aims!
Aneliya as just one example is fluent in english! At 15 she has a better grasp
of the english language than my 14 yo son! She asks me for comparative words
that we use in Uk that will enhance her understanding, she has an American
dictionary of 'Hood' terms so she is more socially and streetwise aware than
many UK people! I think what you said is a generalisation of people and does not
relate to individual youngsters that wish to achieve! I wonder how you would
have liked it if someone said that of you when you were slightly younger??
Perhaps they did! It hapenned in my life, yet you as a potential teacher of
acting should break the mould and not have that attitude towards the limitations
of teens and young talent! Otherwise I would question your ability to bring on
any aspiring talents!

important issue. I certainly don't want to offent anyone and you are right about
the people in general instead of just youngsters.
As 'a potential teacher of acting' i think that language is an important issue
and you have to controll that. Training actors requires improvisation and the
bottomline of improvisation is that you make you own lines, you act in the
moment, you react in the moment. I can tell you when your knowledge of the
language is not good enough it will be verry difficult.
Take me for example. I can speak english fluently (my writing is something else)
but english is the 4th language i learned. When i have to improvise, i have to
rely (you see i don't know how to write rely,but you will understand) on my mind
and body to think for me, because i won't have the time to think.
The only thing i want to say is that it is possible, when they speak the
laguage.
I teach some teens who are really good, they are really good and we tried some
things in english, but their acting suffers...
and you don't have to apologise for directness, i like it that way... its
honest! |

Jean-Claud vandamme (lets not discuss his acting skills) is from my country and
in the movies he always plays a foreinger as wel, because his pronaunciation is
not good enough to believe he's an english speaking man. I know there are other
examples,but... you understand i think. |

Most actors in Hollywood are American, with the vast majority being from the USA
rather than any of the other countries of that continent. Consequently, I would
contend that they are not English speaking but American speaking.  |
