1) fairer & flawless complexion to the skin
2) look younger than actual age or maintain
3) increase immune system
4) increase health level
Anyone had tried it before?
Mind to share here.
Some brand that I heard is Roche, Vitacicol, Mita-C, etc. |

Hi Rahirza, Rick, & William
Since today's society wants it fast & and now--
there maybe a price to consider...
I had a relative who used to take an approximation of 2000mg of vitamin C a
day...
Result internal bleeding.
Caution also--
The body can only absorb so much of any one given source, be it vitamin or
mineral--
the rest of the substance is then "sluffed off" &/or accumulated into harmful
excess.
Thus, internal cell structural damage can occur with build up over the use of a
certain time frame or plan.
Constant adjustments will have to be made according to blood analysis & current
health to keep up with any injection schedule for any type result.
Just a thought: Too much ascorbic acid can agitate structural skin tissue &
cause ulcerated wounds...in high concentrated & consistent usage.
Finding the body's balance is sometimes harder than "Finding Nemo."
Because projected stereotype levels of dosages administered aren't always
accomodating for the rarer type of persons with more fragile systems & genetic
structure.
Eating healthy diets with plenty of fresh fruit & vegetables that are
cruciferous (four petaled), along with regular exercise is essentially what the
body is going to obtain and digest in proper proportion for internal "repair
work." |

situations, such as combating advanced cases of scurvy.
Injections are also an invasive procedure. It breaks the skin. The biggest
danger from injections is not so much a dirty needle as it is dirty skin.
Needles can push bacteria and other contaminants that normally reside safely on
the surface of the skin beneath the skin causing a nasty and ugly condition
called orbital cellulites. Cellulites is only treatable by intravenous infusions
of antibiotics, takes a long time to cure, leaves nasty scars and can result in
amputation if the infection travels to the bone.
Don't mess with unnecessary injections.
Ann: Trusted does not mean knowledgeable. If indeed this doctor told you to take
all kinds of vitamins then he/she is either out to kill you,
doesn't know what a vitamin is or you misunderstood your doctor. What you said
is truly a very, very scary recommendation and I honestly hope
that you interpreted his statement wrong. If not, he needs to be in jail.
Vitamins have been used for assassinations.
If you eat a regular balanced diet (a good mix of fruits, vegetables, nuts,
grains and meats) get enough exercise and rest and keep stress levels down, you
do not need to take vitamin supplements.
The body's absorption of vitamins through supplemental oral means (pills,
liquids, gels) is minimal and most of the vitamins taken this way are excreted
through urine and feces without ever being absorbed into the body.
6.022 x 10^(-23) Tell me what that is and maybe we can get into a
discussion of chemical bonding. But, of course, if you know what that is, then
we won't need to discuss the matter. Simply apply that condition to other
elements and you will know what chemical conditions can and cannot occur within
a biological matrix.
Vitamin C injections...regular does of 1000 mg or more, are used in many third
world countries for skin whitening or bleaching. It is used mainly in places
where the lighter your skin, the better your job and life opportunities are.
Unfortunately, it is a life shortening process and is being declared illegal in
more and more countries. South Africa banned the practice almost 20 years ago
and it has never been legal for use in the United States.
Yes, ascorbic acid assists in the biosynthesis of many connective-tissue
components. These are: collagen gene expression, elastin, procollagen
secretions, fibronectin, proteoglycans, bone matrix and elastin-associated
fibrillin. Injecting vitamin C into the skin does not assist with this
process.
Vitamin C comes is a couple of forms known as L-ascorbic acid and
L-dehydroascorbic acid. It is critical in iron absorption, storage and movement.
If you look at the chemical matrix you will see how ascorbic acid reduces ferric
iron to ferrous iron. This reduces the amount of cell damaging oxygen in our
bodies through oxidation of the iron. Too much vitamin C and your risk reducing
the amount of oxygen our bodies need to survive. Another risk factor, especially
in older males, is that it can increase to toxic levels, especially for the
prostate, the amount of iron stored in the blood.
You really only need about 5 to 10 milligrams a day of vitamin C. Can you see
the danger of regular 1000 milligram injections? You are looking at over 100
times the amount your body needs n a day! While the body can typically get rid
of an over abundance of vitamin C in its regular processes, can you imagine how
you would overtax you bodies ability to remove waste by-products by over
indulging?
About 5% to 10% of the total vitamin C content of fresh fruits and vegetables is
comprised of dehydroascorbic acid. In the case of processed foods,
dehydroascorbic acid makes up about 30% of the vitamin C content. D-ascorbic
acid (erythorbic acid or isoascorbic acid), the epimer of L-ascorbic acid, is
frequently added to food as an antioxidant preservative. Erythorbic acid has
very low vitamin C activity.
The molecular formula of Vitamin C is C6H8O6. (Six atoms Carbon, 8 Atoms
Hydrogen and 6 atoms Oxygen.) It is a very organized and relatively stable
crystal. But when you look at 6.022 x 10^(-23) you can begin to see where some
carbon bumping will occur. This is good for the most part in amounts the body
can handle, but start exceeding this and where will the excess carbon
manifest?
When taking 30 to 150 milligrams of supplemental doses of Vitamin C, 70% to 90%
is absorbed. At doses up to about 500 milligrams, absorption still occurs but as
the dose of supplemental ascorbic acid increases, the percentage of its
absorption proportionately decreases. At doses over 500 milligrams, absorption
ceases, replaced by diffusion. Storage then occurs in the pituitary gland and
other areas of the body and its antioxidant properties are reduced.
Let us review some of the side-effects of large dose vitamin C intake.
Remember, like any supplement, using Vitamin C in supplemental manners elevates
it to the status of a drug and has commensurate side-effects. Vitamin C derived
from grapefruits and used in supplements can have even more detrimental
effects.
If you have or have had kidney stones taking more than the daily allowance of
Vitamin C is dangerous.
If you have renal system problems (serum creatine levels) also be careful of
excess amounts of Vitamin C.
Because ascorbic acid plays an important role in iron absorbtion, an overload of
vitamin C can cause problems in people with anemia, sickle cell anemia,
hemochromatosis, erythrocyte G6PD deficiency, thalassemia, or sideroblastic.
If you are pregnant, intending to get pregnant within six months, or nursing
avoid high amounts of vitamin C.
In healthy adults the most common adverse reaction when taking oral doses
greater than 3 grams a day are gastrointestinal. Symptoms are nausea, abdominal
cramps, diarrhea and farting a lot. This comes from unabsorbed vitamin C passing
through the intestines.
Rare adverse reactions include elevated serum glucose levels in males,
intestinal obstruction in females and esophagitis.
Antacids don't mix well with high doses of vitamin C and can cause urinary track
problems, usually of great concern to women. High dose aspirin can also cause
problems when combined with high vitamin C use.
While some research suggests that vitamin C and its antioxidant properties can
help prevent certain types of cancers, vitamin C supplements or high levels in
the blood can counteract chemotherapy, thus interfering with the treatment of
existing cancer..
Aspirin: Chronic use of high dose aspirin may lead to impaired vitamin C status
in mega dose vitamin C users.
Ascorbic Acid can increase estrogen inhibition of oxidized LDL formation
(remember how we discussed vitamin C reducting oxygen levels in the body?) an
important consideration for women entering menopause.
High doses in some research actually suggests an adverse effect on collagen.
This is the glue that holds your skin to your body. Lose collagen and your skin
starts to sag and wrinkle. Vitamin C is an important part of the chain that
causes amino acids to coalesce into pro-collagen, the pre-curser to collagen. In
this process a molecule of ascorbic acid is destroyed...one reason why we need
to continually ingest vitamin C. Once again, however, continuous mega doses can
create problems in the collagen function.
You can also get bloating (not good for models), a disease called rebound scurvy
and create infantile scurvy in your new born child from mega doses.
WIth injections, inflammation of the veins is a concern and, for women
especially, a thinning or weakening of the bones.
Overall, vitamin C may be the most important and useful chemical reactive agent
in our bodies. However, like anything else, overuse and misuse is bad news.
Generally in healthy adults high amounts of vitamin C is not considered toxic.
The excess is passed through the urine without being used but can cause high
stress on the urinary system.
Injecting vitamin C is a very, very very bad idea with
long-term effects that you may experience ten or 20 years down the line. Is this
worth it for whiter skin? Vitamin C should only ever be injected for medical
purposes in the treatment of certain ailments and never ever for cosmetic
purposes.
It is my hope that in presenting this long summary of medical indications that
it can convince you to avoid these injection which have been recognized by every
serious medical establishment on the planet as an unsafe and often illegal
practice. It may be the current fad and craze in Malaysia and some South Pacific
nations but it is definitely not worth your health. Vitamin C injections are a
scam.
There is a lot of false advice and bad science about vitamin C out there,
especially in our so-called health stores. Please be careful when taking any
dietary supplement. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

I think I’ve misguided you! That’s because my eng is not a perfect one. The advice was
just about the WAY of getting vitamins (meaning-no injections or drugs). I
didn’t mean she advised me to take all of them. I think now everything is
clear. Sorry for the confusion. |

Yeah, you are right. To tell the truth my attitude to this problem is a little
preconceived, that’s just because of my own experience with needles. I had to
take acupuncture (it seems that’s how it’s called when dozen of needles are
slicked into your back): it didn’t hurt at all but the feelings were so
horrible, that I now I hate all the needles until the end of my life. So I
can’t even think about any injections now. That’s such sad story. |

Oluwaseun.

Trust me...that was short! Molecular biochemistry is an awesome
field of study but not for those with short attention spans! I find the fact
that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of billions of combinations of
chemicals and chemical instructions that make up the myriad of life forms on
this planet absolutely fascinating.
More intriguing is how of all the mammals only primates have lost the ability to
produce vitamin C. Quite curious, that. Ascorbic acid also cannot penetrate our
blood brain barrier. And primates are the most intelligent of animals on the
planet. Coincidence? I wonder what the chemical chains within the brain would
look like if different varieties of vitamin C were introduced? Just setting up
the equations would take months so, never mind. Our scientists are just an
estimated three years away from creating a living organism from scratch, as
announced last week, so I'll leave that in their godly hands.
Oluwaseun: My mom was in your mom's area a few months ago training doctors and
nurses and recruiting medical students to bring to our local university. She
also just got back from India too a couple weeks ago on a similar mission. Might
be back in your area of Africa in a few months. If so, I'll let you know and
maybe our mom's can hook up! Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

new type of injection that stops reuse and the spreed of blood transmitted
infections, i think the name of the company that make them is ... vanish point

my claim still remains that vitamin C is ment to be enjoyed by kids and everyone
who love it not taken in by injection.
So carib if your mom is going to be in Abuja Nigeria just let me know when so i
can ask my mom to look out for her.

I’m absolutely with you there: fruits are joy and I’ll never replace them
with injections! And one more thing: I’ve just remembered that my friend had
to do such injections (because of week health, not for beauty) and she said it
was VERY PAINFUL. Acid is not very nice for our blood, yes, it hurts! |
