for three reasons:
1) Most of my commissions are for younger individuals and this is not reflected
in my profile. I need to increase images of younger models so I have clear
examples of images created with people in specific age ranges. For this it is
important that the model is of a specific age rather than has the look of that
age.
2) I don't know whether to ask the 'Do your parents support you in your
modelling?' question.
3) I don't know what is appropriate to put into the ideas bag until age is
determined.
So any chance of putting this back in? It is present on all the other sites I am
a member of so can't be too contentious.***** Spring approaches and soon the fairies will awaken ***** |

| Date: 2007-09-06 05:37 I agree. On the one hand I need to know, as you do, whether to ask whether
parents are supportive, and on the other hand I also do work which is not
appropriate for under-18s so need to know whether it's ok to offer that kind of
work.
It's not just a matter of "over 18" or "under 18", though, as some models can
look one age in the photographs they have but only by heavy photo manipulation
and when they turn up for a shoot I have someone who looks (by their skin) 5
years older than they did in their pictures. And yes I know it's not as simple
as that and they can also lie, but it's a useful indicator. |

you are looking for, an example Mike (UK) works with teen and it would be good
to be able to find someone within that bracket just by looking thru the port.
I dont think there is any need to hide the Age of anyine after all we are all
looking to work professionally. I think tha age should be reintroduced.

I think if security is the issue then perhaps a happy medium would be to show
age and personal information only to registered members! That way visitors
cannot view that information! |

age shld b published to the registered members |

a little grip here
Why did they left the age? Does anybody knows? |

ID: 185837 Posts: 336 | Date: 2007-09-07 03:57 The rationale for omitting it is 'Security'. Having Date of Birth is generally
not the best idea, but having general age does not seem to be an issue for other
sites. It seems that Jurgita might re-introduce some indication and I hope this
is the case. My only concern is that sometimes 'Security' stands for 'It was
easier to not do it than to come up with an alternative solution to the real
problem'. I have come across a number of times when it has been used (outside of
Jurgita) and the assumption is always that after the 'S' word you should
immediately stop questioning. I do not believe that this is the case with
Jurgita and proper solution will be found
I believe that if we just keep the reminder that there are legitimate reasons
for wanting to know a model's age then hopefully it will eventually be
re-introduced.***** Spring approaches and soon the fairies will awaken ***** |

To Jurgita Administration: What exactly is the legal problem? Is it something
unique to Lithuania? The payment company you are using? Or are the payment
companies still reacting to the credit card, marriage and clothing scammers
operating out of Vilnius years ago? If so, I think it very unfair that this site
should suffer for the malfeasance of others. Do we loyal members need to put
together a petition drive in support of you?
Carib: paypal dropped us because of the members under 18, lots of payment
systems dont want to work with us because of that.
Additionally Google adsense blocked our account because of member with age 13,
even there were no anything related to any nudity. The girl was with dress in
normal pose, but they thought that she was with lingerie. We explained all the
situation, but we still don't know if they will get us back to the program.
If things will go the way like they are going now, we will loose the site, as it
doesn't earn money anymore. we cant develop the site without financial
support.
So one of decisions is not to show the age. Another decision is to remove all
accounts under 18 years old... And this is not Lithuanian Law, this is American
Law. So we think that the first decision is better at this time, but things are
not good with models under 18... |

I find that incredible and mad... that association with under 18s could
undermine the funding model so clearly.
I would definitely understand the need to keep money coming in and I can see how
the current situation is problematic. Good luck.
Does hiding the age alleviate the problem though?
Also I would suggest that removing under-18s would be a real shame for Jurgita
as it is probably the site with the most active younger community. Something
sadly missed on other sites.***** Spring approaches and soon the fairies will awaken ***** |

ID: 2 Posts: 20 | Date: 2007-09-07 05:21 I think its hard to tell if the girl is 16, 17 or 18, so there will be a bit
less problems.
For the younger girls we still have a problem.
At this time all these young girls can be seen only after logging in. Maybe we
will show the age for registered members, but let us find the solution for
payment system and adverting support first.
Its hard for me to understand such laws, but we need to comply somehow.
here is the photo which google treated as Adult (mature) content and blocked our
site.

Is that so BAD? Google decided to drop because of photo like this. Girl is 13
years old here.

Ooops the situation seems bad than I thought. Bad first I dont understand why
google would term that as mature unless ofcourse there was another reason behind
that.
Though it seems the situation is getting out of hand n a solution is needed
fast..again deleting the Under-18S will not be so good. I think putting
guidelines would serve better...eg
1.any under-18 joining this site should put only decent photos < in
the mean time u could actually cut off swim wear>
2.photos submitted should be reviewed by the moderators before being opened to
the public.
3. Any one who is a minor but has joined and entered th wrong age should be
deleted with immediate effect
4. Mayb u could remove the ones under 15 yrs < also in the mean time>
After having reviewed all these then u could again try contacting Google have
adsense re-installed |

be dodgy, but I suppose in the current climate companies are being over cautious

You say maybe you will show the age for registered members, have I not posted
that as a possible sollution in two related forums already?
Re: The photo! I have also advised in previous forums and messages to
moderators that this kind of problem would occur if you allow minors to post
photos without checking them first! And that was happenning here, only
the other week a young pre-teen girl was registered here with provocative photo
shots, how can that be allowed? Yes it is removed now, but I guess that is after
the google wake up call! I have warned of these things on several
occasions and still am concerned regarding the activities of some members of
similar age here!
All minors photos should be checked to see that they are suitable for
the age!
Further: I think you will also find that the photo google banned had a
caption saying 'This one is for the boys' That probably didn't help
matters!
It was alongside another photo which had the girls e-mail address pasted on the
photo!
My business relates to these age groups and it is neccessary to have great
attention to detail! |
