Just curious if people here like watching movies / DVDs alone or with company, and if the latter, what kind of company?

Personally, I like to rent movies (usually comedies) and watch them with my brother. I sometimes see movies in theaters with him and my little sister as well (the last movie we saw was The Simpsons movie).

If it’s about stupid comedy like “Jay and silent Bob” I prefer watching it with my friend, but if the movie is philosophical or dramatic I watch it only alone!

It sounds fine Ann! I'm the same like I said! sometimes it's nice to have your own space to concentrate and take a good film in! I totally agree!

If i were going to the theater i would rather go with a bunch of friends but if it were in the comfort of my home i would rather watch it with someone i am very close to, i guess that works for me.

If I'm watching a mainstream movie it doesn't really matter where I watch and with whom However I do have a penchant for offbeat, quirky and foreign films. Lucky for me I know a girl in the same position as me. So we watch our Hollywood movies with friends and family, and share our peculiar obsession with each other. She comes to my place and we go to my room and watch movies on my computer. I love it.

If not with my son, I much prefer to watch movies alone and on days when there are not much people in attendance. I want to absorb myself in the movie totally and without any distractions.

Once in a while, having a date is nice, but I just hope she understands I came to watch a movie.

I like to watch movies at the theater if there is a large group of people that I'm going with but if it's watching movies at home, I would rather watch them alone or with just a few friends (my living room isnt all that big).

If it's just in th house depends who wants to join in altho am comfortable watching alone:D but if am going out for a movie then I need company either my bf:lips: my siz or any of my friends who likes such types of movies:muscle:
