I've noticed them saying its free until you completely finish making a portfolio for them and having it approved. . . And then they say in order to activate your account you need to pay money. I'm afraid to do it because I dont want to be ripped off.

I think good reputation modeling agencies also should have good websites and be advertised in catalogs and modeling magazines...

a reputable agency will not charge you for a portoflio. What they will do is arrange test shoots with reputable photographers. The agency then gets the prints and gets to choose which of these prints they consider to be good for your book. Thats they way it works in the UK anyway. Some web site agencies do make a small charge for putting your prints on their site but not a huge amount of money and usually they deduct it from your first fee.
The thing to really look out for is what you get charged for 'bikes' or the courier services that agencies use to get your book to a client on the other side of London. This can come in quite expensive, again they wont charge you uip front but its a nasty shock when your expecting your first cheque and its nearly all gone

i read in a magazine that a REAL agency has its own well-made office and has pictures of their models on a certain part of it, not just a small untidy office with pictures of girls wearing sexy outfits in very daring and so not artistic shots instead of those professional looking ones...
I'm a 15 year old girl looking for an agency here in Manila... Contact me if you wanna hire me... :)

Olivia's right, agencies with not charge for portfolio - most have you shoot with an in house photographer - So think twice with they ask for any kind of registration fee etc...

If they are online agency then put the name into as many searches as possible to see what results come up, this may bring up something.
But, please say why you think this agency may be a scam? Do you have reason to suspect?
