hey im wearing this mini red dress from bebe (o yea) to my homecoming but i spilled some oil i think it is on it any ideas in how to get it out??????

There is a product available in Walmart called dissolve it, uses orange or citrus to lift the oil from the fabric and must be applied before wasing, then use warmest water allowed for the fabric.

Hang it to dry--no dryer--then inspect it. If any stain is left repeat the spotting with the orange cleaner and was again until it is gone. If the stain goes through a dryer it will be baked on forever.

This information comes from my practical wife.

Unless the dress is supposed to be drycleaned, then you should point it out to the cleaner and let them try to remove it.

If all commercial cleaning solutions don't work you can always try WD40. Seriously. It puts the oil into suspension so that it can be washed out with detergent. Also works on tar, some inks and probably stuff that I've never tried it on.
