Hi, I would just like to know how can you tell if your amatuer, semi pro or pro? does it depend on the number of shoots you've done, or how many agencies your withm or what you rate yourself etc i've thought about this recently. i'll hang around for a bit to discuss this as i'm really keep to know

all posts will be valued :)

also wondering what you'd rate me as, ( personally i'd say amatuer) but still interested :)

About your question Emily, I guess it depends on the number of works you've done. I think you could have a million pictures, but still amateur if there's no any job on your resume...

i think you're a pro when you can live from it. When it is your job.

If you earn a small part of your living from it, you're a semi pro.
If you hardly earn anything from it, you're an amateur.
That's how most distinctions are made between amateur and pro in many different fields.

I would agree with the posts above.

No matter how good you are, if no-one is paying you to model you are an amateur (or retired!).

If you do get paid, but need another job to survive, you're semi.

If it is your main job, you are a pro.
