events online
The idea seems good but you have to improve your site to get more people
especially the quality of pics posted and even the designing. Otherwise people
may get the impression that it's not a serious mission
Otherwise keep it up |

ID: 182744 Posts: 1442 | Date: 2007-10-05 14:03 I hate to be a killjoy here but your competition ran afoul of US law the instant
you 1) asked for an entry fee in what amounts to a public lottery and 2) asked
for entry fees and contractual obligations from minors.
Additionally, your stated conditions contradict each other. On one hand you
state winners will be announced on March 15, 2008 yet you also state winners
will be notified by telephone and email on December 1? Can we get clarification
on that?
Size of photo: 4"x6" or 600 x 450 pixels? What resolution are you asking for? At
300 dpi that image is 2" x 1.5" at 100% resolution. At 72 dpi (screen
resolution) that's 8.3" x 6.25". Your photo submission instructions are
contradictory and confusing. How do you send 4" x 6" through email?
What is the final disposition/ownership of the images once sent to you?
Public voting: I have yet to hear of a form of public voting that cannot be
spammed. I guarantee that within minutes I can vote a thousand times for my
favorite model no matter what security scheme you put in place. A novice to the
internet can use a public kiosk and anonymous email services to vote as many
times as they want since each sign in is a different IP address. If people are
purchasing a spot in this competition, their vested interests
would be violated through any form of public voting meaning that they have no
potential value on money risked.
Public voting essentially makes this a public lottery.
Have you escrowed the prize money with a verified, independent agent or
accounting firm to guarantee that the prizes will be delivered to the winner?
How do you mail a website to a winner?
Also, is their an independent, trusted and verified firm independent of Starz
Studio that will monitor you and insure that the voting and selected winner has
been done in a fair manner? Even the Miss Universe pageant uses independent
verification.
Who determined the value of the website prize? What gives it more value than a
free website designed by the model him/herself? How will the website be promoted
more than can be done by the individual?
What is the difference between the $150 website prize and the 36 page model
portfolio?
Why isn't the premier international fashion magazine named? What magazine is
it?
Essentially, the prize for risking $15 is a $150 value website and publishing in
an anonymous magazine? If you get 100 entries that $1500 earned by you and an
essentially worthless prize to the winner.
I do not see the value for the money risked. Additionally...what country's
currency are you talking about? I am assuming it is US dollars, but your site
does not really specify this.
I'd also like to see more extensive terms and conditions, a privacy policy and
substantial guarantees put into place.
Do you know what you are doing or is t his just a simple money making scheme for
your agency?
I would like some clarification on the above specified problem areas, and, after
that, I have a series of other questions for you. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

Always pinpointing those hidden notes that we seem to oversee

doubt he would be coming out in the second round. Doesn't look like you will get
to throw those punches you are holding back |

ID: 206819 Posts: 9 | Date: 2007-10-08 04:13 a contest based on their photo?? hhmm..
i'm agree with what karl say..public voting does not show that person really got
the talent, isn't it?? it just show how you get the attraction from the crowd,
once u perform yourself well then there might lot of people who will vote u.
to the last competition which i heard that my friend has joined, is based on the
voting on the internet just to get into the top 10..?? i really dont understand
why always they use the voting system to get someone into the semifinal or final
without going any stages??
i dont know whether i'm out of topic at here...but this is the question which i
always wanted to ask when i saw the term & condition paper which they distribute
to the girls who joined for the search or any contest. |
