So you are willing to give up freedom if someone else thinks it's best for you? Thats just a start then. You might as well move to communist china. Like registering for a conceled wepons carrying permit. It's a bunch of S*%t. If it is conceled then who would know you have it anyway? I will tell you who. The government. That way when they decide to outlaw hand guns they will know who has them. Except the criminals! They would only take the weapons from the law abiding citizens. Big government does not work. We need a little anarchy around here.

It isn't bunch of anything. Its just caring for these peoples lives. And that doesn't take their freedom away, it only takes the bad thing away from them.

To me, i support the act which goes jsut fro smoking not any other thing.

I'm a non smoker!
Here's a way you can quit without any of the patches & gum's... go out without any cigarettes on you & try not to think of them:thumbup:

If I go out without cigarettes , after few minutes I buy it

I've never smoked... heard smokers saying it's hard to quit... but doctors say the level of difficulty varies from person to person:thumbup:

If I was in Romania I could probally help by taking your mind off the cigarettes somehow!
I was partly responsible for my cousin stopping... well his girlfriend kicked him out everytime he lit up in their flat, then she would only let him back if he's let her frisk him to see he had none on him... more for the kid's health, anytime he came round my place I wouldn't let him smoke in the garden as it would go in my windows, his car used to stink!
I sat in the passenger seat once & my clothes smelled like a tobacco testing plant:cantlook: I had to take a shower & put my clothes in the wash:doh:
He's got a new car, his girlfriend & son back, and he's not smoked at all in the last 18 months:thumbup: Can be done!

Try cutting down the numbers of cigarettes in each day over the next 6 weeks to 8 weeks, if you are currently at 40 a day... try to cut down to less than 10 a day, it may not be easy but with determination and serious dedication you can do it:thumbup:
Only thing is if there's anyone else around you smoking it will make it harder as seeing others smoking will make you want to reach for a cigarette:doh:

I looked up a stop smoking website & I've never been & never intend to be a smoker:lol:

Look up stop smoking websites in your local area & consult your GP for extra advice:thumbup:
Also consider buying those stop smoking patches you stick on your arm:thumbup:
That's one of the thing's my cousin used:thumbup:

You'll need much more than just trying. You need determination Elena. You look at yourself and tell yourself, i have to stop this because its not good for my health. And work towards that.

Lets do it this way, try writing down all the disadvantages of smoking, memorize it of it not, know one to two. so anytime you feel like smoking, attackt the urge with the disadvantages, by the time you do that constantly, it will surely reduce it.

Good luck

Ohhh, Libby, is easy to

I smoked about a pack a day for 8 years and when I got pregnant it made me so sick I couldnt smoke. After I had my son i started smokin cigars. When I got up to 5 a day and couldnt hardly breathe I quit. Just out of the blue I quit cold turkey and havent smoked since.

Tobacco is addictive itself but the nicotine... well that's what you find hard to kick:thumbup:

Here's another way to do it... look at what your weekly income is & think to yourself...
how much a week do I spend on cigarettes? also consider what you could do with the money you currently spend on cigarettes... like holidays, something you've wanted for a long time but could never afford:thumbup:

My crazy cousin was smoking away £70 to £80 a week! he could have used that money
for other things that he does now:thumbup:

Think of the money saved by not smoking Elena... motivation is also another thing that helps:thumbup: keep thinking I can do this!

I used to smoke for a while there and giving it up was the best thing I ever did.

Honestly I just went cold turkey.... but I hadn't been doing it long so I'm not sure that'd work so well for you.

Just ween yourself off it. Cut down by 1 cigarette per day or something.

nope ... im not ....

When your parents were young, people could buy cigarettes and smoke pretty much anywhere even in hospitals! Ads for cigarettes were all over the place. Today we're more aware about how bad smoking is for our health. Smoking is restricted or banned in almost all public places and cigarette companies are no longer allowed to advertise on TV, radio, and in many magazines.

Almost everyone knows that smoking causes cancer, emphysema, and heart disease that it can shorten your life by 10 years or more and that the habit can cost a smoker thousands of dollars a year. So how come people are still lighting up? The answer, in a word, is addiction.

Staying smoke free will give you a whole lot more of everything more energy, better performance, better looks, more money in your pocket, and, in the long run, more life to live!
:D

If nothing else works, they have a medication called chantix.... it has worked really well and people usually quit fully with in 3 months. I would google it for more info. I work in a pharmacy and I've heard good things about it, although there are some weird side effects with some people like weird dreams and change in mood and if your insurance won't pay its kinda expensive, however if you really want to quit and you can't put them down, it might be a good alternative

I quit smoking two days ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had flu, and I couldnt smoke. So is not a problem. Is verry easy
:lips::saint::lips:

I don't smoke & never did:thumbup:

The big challenge now Elena is to keep away from cigarettes all together:thumbup:
Think of all the things you could do with the money that you won't be throwing away on the habit any more:thumbup:

So you are all for your government telling you what is right for you? Is that not leaning toward socialism? I just think that if you want to smoke a fag, you should be able to do it. It's like anything else. You have to learn to do it in moderation. Infact most people I know who smoke only smoke when they are drinking. Prohibition didn't work, so why would a smoking ban?

If you do smoke... you also get a thick layer of tar & nicotine coats the inside of your lungs & you won't be able to breathe right, then the big C takes hold... and then the end:cantlook:

If you dont eat enough fiber you get colon cancer. If you drink too much diet soda you get cancer from artificial sweetners, if you drink you get liver cancer, ect. All about moderation and besidesw it should be my choice what my vices are. By the way I don't smoke.
