Am I Suitable?

I'm a 16 year-old standing at a miserable height of 152 cm. I don't have a perfect figure nor any experience in modelling. However, I really want to be part of this industry as I love to bring the best of myself to everyone around. Any suggestions for me? =]

Long ago, I had to face the facts that I would never be a movie star (too little chin, can't memorize lines of dialog or what I had for dinner last night, but that's a new development) or a rock star (I can't sing or play a note). So I developed whatever talents I do have and worked as a writer and photographer. Along the way, I've worked in fields, carried a rifle in the Army, sold encyclopedias, worked at many odd jobs and even driven a school bus.

Still I've managed to have a good life and often do the jobs I trained for on small magazines or local newspapers. I've met famous people and perturbed many a politician (once had a governor of Idaho refuse to talk after I entered a meeting he was having with community leaders).

Find your niche and work to make it a reality.
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!

Thanks alot for your encouragement!! I guess in life everyone has their own niches. Yepps, I'm gonna do my utmost to discover my own niche areas and develop them to the fullest!

Cheers!

ok girl let me tell you in the modeling agency or entertainment everyone is needed to fill the industry for instance do you know that there are 90 year old models? for print media and body parts but the market might not be so large but the is still a market.

so there is a place for you in the industry but it might not be no the run way but look at you hands, feet and some other distinct features you haveand use that to you advantage.

All the Best

Hey there, thanks alot!

I'm not going to go for the runway because I know I don't really have what it takes - height, figure etc. But I guess like what Charles said about finding my own niche, I think I'll have to reflect on my own special areas.

Hahas, sadly however, I still cannot find a distinct path for myself. But it's alright! I'm still young though! I'm sure one day I'll find my own direction!!

Thank you very much! =]

As Charles illustrated you can still make a huge success of your life by exploiting your best parts and being special. You haven't got what it takes to become a high fashion model so go all out for commercial modeling. Find out what agencies are in your area, take some nice natural (outside, natural light) shots and go along with all that charm and high spirit you seem to have :)

Until you find your 'niche' nothing is stopping you from having success in commercials which need your profile now; things like teen health and beauty products, clothing catalogs, tv commercials.. the list goes on!

Good luck.
