Deon. Except for the "who is Cheri Clark" I spend very little time in this section. However, among these kids, we have to allow some freedom of speech. Karl or I usually comment when we see the information veering from reality.

I have to back up what Charles has said.

Jurgita is unique among modeling sites in that it seems to be the only one that I have found that addresses the whole of modeling, including very important lifestyle issues.

Whether some want to admit it or not, workplaces in any profession have a tendency to foster 'office' romances. This is a natural occurrence anytime people have to work in close proximity with each other. This is heightened even more by the inherent intimate nature of modeling in and of itself. The concentration is upon the human body, in correcting any perceived physical flaws and presenting to the public an infallible image of the subject.

Indeed, models have a life too and in many instances development of that life overlaps with development of their professional life.

Modeling also has a very high emphasis on teenagers and young adults. Often this is during their developmental years both physically and mentally.

A model has to appear not just before a camera but also interact socially. The sleazy side of the profession also predisposes the uninformed model to be at a higher risk of being victimized. Education usually is the best way to prevent such victimization.

In truth, legitimate relationships can form between parties in this industry. In these situations yes, it is proper to look askance and to wonder whether or not such relationship is truly spurred by love and friendship or if one party is using or taking advantage of the other. This is a very fine line and anyone who crosses it is indeed placing themselves in a very precarious position.

Young people naturally have questions about sexuality and relationships. Some of those questions get very detailed and specific. Some of those questions and answers go overboard as to what is generally considered good taste. Yet, crushing or censoring curiosity increases a problem rather than solves it.

An open exchange and interplay among youth is not a bad thing. Advice from caring, considerate adults coupled with examples from their experience can be a mentoring process to the youth.

I do get concerned when the questions are initiated by male adults and the sole discernible motive seems to be that of a sexually predatory nature. Yet, sometimes, these warped kind of dissertations have their place. They show young people just how disgusting and perverted some people are and their methods of trying to attract beautiful girls and even boys as their prey. Totalitarian censorship can backfire in that it over protects youngsters from the very molesters they might meet in real life.

So, it becomes an edgy issue of balancing right and wrong. Call it a vaccination of sorts. To fight a virus you have to be carefully exposed to weakened strains and thus your body knows what to fight.

I think that Jurgita has exercised world-class wisdom in providing a forum section for developmental discussions about love and relationships. It recognizes that models are human and that models travel, are exposed to life experiences that average humans never have and yes, indeed, can truly fall in love with people they meet along the way.

In moderating forums such as these one has to look at the issue, who has raised the issue and what their past pattern of behavior has been. We hope that all members can have a pleasant experience and that we can successfully shepherd them through not just the pitfalls in modeling but also some of the pitfalls in life. We all know from Kate Moss, et al, that the social life of a model can be fraught with dangers. A little exchange of communications between industry professionals here on this site might hopefully just prepare up and coming models for real life and give them people they can turn to for guidance, advice and even protection as they work their way up to potential stardom.

So, I wouldn't shut down questions and comments regarding sexuality simple because they are sexual in nature. I would caution, however, against lewdness, propositions, crassness and socially derogatory comments.

I agree with both Charles and Karl, I was overly harsh in my post and do apologize to the poster of this topic.
As long as everybody including me remember that there is very young members that also read these forums.
