Do you like singing in falsetto or just your chest voice? Which is stronger?
Personally for me, I find it a little difficult to sing in my chest voice and
singing in falsetto is more preferable to me, and much stronger than the other.
In Tessitura (comfortable vocal range), I prefer timbre (note quality)= Vocal
freedom.
Variances of styles are good for those who love to explore & expand, & search
out other compatible vocal techniques, which either LOCK OR UNLOCK further
pursuits.
Best advice to newbies:
Start with your known strength, then proceed to other levels of adaptation in
tonality.

I wish I could sing. I probably use falsetto because I have never been taught to
sing. The military ruined what ever voice I had. But I can yell loud enough to
shake the windows! Hooah!

awh, thats kinda sad... my chorus teachers always had a difficult time getting
me to sing, although after my junior year, my teacher finally got me to do a
couple of solos. i get so nervous singing though, i have to have something in my
hands to distract me while i sing... plus i always get stuck with the songs that
go faster.. like home for the holidays, or on the street where you live ( my
fair lady), or god help the outkast (which is probably the slowest song ive ever
sung!)
