I came on to post weekend updates this morning (since I was traveling) an found
it locked. Thought I'd busted up a rule or regulation or something. Glad to know
it is an accident.
Already left my hotel before seeing this. When I get back in tonight I'll start
a new one. Not much time.
Well, I was not in the V.I. over the weekend. Locked up in rainy D.C. which, per
happenstance, was exactly the weather conditions I left in the V.I.
Tropical storm Noel? Never heard of it. Hmm. Better look it up.
But, when I took off on Friday, the islands were under a flash flood watch and
the rain was pouring down and winds whipping all over the place. Not at Tropical
Storm strength, but vicious. The rains are projected to carry through to
tomorrow. Typical for this time of year. Towards the end of October we always
get a week of rain.
Interesting statistic over the weekend. The Caribbean continues its downward
temperature trend. This past Saturday set a new record for low temperature for
that day. Saturdays high was 68 degrees. 1971 saw the previous record of 69
degrees. 68 is officially the lowest temperature since records started being
kept.
At 68 degrees ain't no Tropical Storm going to be able to maintain itself. Too
cold.
So, tomorrow I will post some of my rainy Washington D.C. pics. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

No need to restart. The topic has been unlocked.
Watch those slippery fingers, Mystique. While a little lube is appreciated, a firm grip can also
do wonders!
I have always wondered whether or not we clicked, now I have my answer. Been a
while since a woman locked me out. Usually I deserved it, this time I didn't.
But, as my mom used to say whenever I got whacked for something I didn't do ...
"Well, you got away with something before so consider this a
make-up swat".
We are also thankful that your fingers do not hover over the buttons for any
nuclear weapons. Or do they? We always knew that you are 'Da
Bomb'.
With regards to Tropical Storm Noel. Well, no one at home knew about it until
yesterday morning when the paper came out. Hmmm. You have spies in the Caribbean
to be so on top of things? Until Friday I have to pass by Langley going in to
work every morning. Should I stop in an say "Hi" to you?
Well, yup, the mess of rain I abandoned on Friday did indeed turn into Tropical
Storm Noel, but not while it was over the Virgin Islands. Like I said, our
temperature was too cold to sustain anything. Puerto Rico seemed to have ramped
it up, however.
We did have flooding, mudslides and power outages. Nothing messy or
emergency-ish.
Here is a story on the sotrm since I was not there to photograph
it for you.
Ta-ta. I'm off shortly. Only a 45 minute break between committee meetings. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

here are hitting the east coast and the plains states, so it's quickly turning
into a very white and very cold Christmas across parts of the country.

weekend a week early. Some physical therapy rehab to do now.
It has been raining every day here for months now. Weather patterns are
returning back to what I remember when I was young. It would be like six months
of rain, mostly at night, with beautiful days. It is nice to see the weather
patterns of my youth repeating themselves. Says everything is a natural cycle.
Not seen any sign of global warming here yet.
Monday night, Subtropical Storm Olga formed on our flank, 50 miles off our north
coast in the Atlantic Ocean. No one even realized that a storm had formed. We
were just getting lots of rain with hard winds. The next morning the news tells
us we had 50 mph winds over night and flash flooding. No property damage,
though.
Two days later Olga killed 25 people in the Dominican Republic. Well, maybe not
Olga but more stupidity by the DR government. In the middle of the night they
decided that a dam in the city of Santiago might be at its stress level so they
decided to open ALL flood gates dumping 1.6 million gallons a minute of water
into the town. Police were told around midnight and given 15 minutes to drive
around town and tell residents to evacuate. 25 people did not make it and
hundreds of homes were destroyed. The damn dam people said better 25 lives than
25 thousand if the dam had blown.
The President of DR said blame global warming because Olga formed 10 days after
the end of Hurricane season. Regular jack ass idiot, that guy. Hurricanes can
form at any time of the year. Hurricane season is simply the time period when
they most often form. But this is the type of ignorance in leadership that gets
people killed. You live in a hurricane zone, you stay prepared all year around.
Any dork knows that.
It has been 17 years since the Virgin Islands has had a storm death and even
then that was to people on boats. Maybe we take better care under the U.S. flag.
There
are islands like DR where individual lives don't count for much. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

I guess the media was more concerned about ice storms in the U.S.
After the big hit in October, Virgin Islanders got together and sent tons of aid
to DR. This week, we will do it again and as often as necessary. We take care of
our neighbors even if their leaders are putas estupidas.
That is Rosa's home town, Andrea. Must call her, hope none of her people were
hurt or lost their house. Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should |

fairly safe during the storms, being that it is in a valley. still, they have
known for too long that they needed better flood plans. anyhow... what can you
do about it. all the same, i hope all your friends and family are safe too. |
