I was just searching through the 'amateur model' category, both guys and gals,
all countries.
I cannot believe how much the pages looked like some kind of a dating website.
Lots of avatars taken at arms length, taken in mirrors, and with background
fluff (furniture, bed clothes, etc).
I think the avatar requirements should be cleaned up to keep this modelling site
looking like what it is - a place for people SERIOUS about modelling to
communicate. I cannot believe someone that can't manage to have someone ELSE
take their photo is a serious candidate for the modelling industry.
I don't mean to sound harsh but it gets old wading through alot of
fluffy-nothing-ports. The very reason I was on the amateur model category was to
see who was out there and leave a few votes on photos and maybe some comments to
new models and give some encouragement. The result was I just clicked off as I
was overwhelmed by 'nothing-ness'.
Anyone else having this problem?

taken with a cell phone or while looking at the mirror. The majority of them
don't bother me, though. Then again, very few of the people are my friends list
are incredibly active models. |

amature myself and my photos are only poloroids taken by a friend on different
occassions
i came acrross this site and decided to upload them as they were the only ones i
thought were some what "suitable" i mean there not my any means suitable for a
portfolio but you need to start somewhere.
i have a shoot on saturday so hope to use the pics to upload onto my page but
untill then my poloroids wil have to do |

The following has been proposed to me for conveyance of issues in regards to

So, I am now CONVEYING THE MATTER at HAND to forum members to treat with open
mindedness:
I wish to show others that you can fairly assess without judgementalism.
Has any1 considered if this would be a fair agenda for the disfigured or
unattractive people to have an outlet for safe & harmless communicative
interaction?
Inhibiting ordinary members, who might not elsewise have opportunity to
converse, if generic avatars are taken away?...
Should they be leftout, simply because they can't help how they look--by default
or no fault?
Not a very liberating concern to those who "have it all" to begin with...
I agree that the Business End of the spectral dealings-- e.g.
Models/Entertainers/Photographers/Agencys, etc. should have Photos UP for the
good of aligning proper contacts & other aspects of interaction within the
established industrial Community of Networking.
Otherwise, lets give hope to those that NEED a place to gather...You might just
help save a lonely soul's life from giving up on humanity.
BTW--ID's are faked all the time--Ask police--How is a phony avatar gonna be any
different?...PEOPLE will always look to work around a loop hole, if they truly
want to...
It just seems to me NO ONE will ever have total control--
Throughout history it is no different...
Let's make adjustments, but also provide kindness to the poor
in spirit...
We can then hold our heads up for contributing to the gentleness of a wounded
soul that only we can extend...This could only better the name of Jurgita, like
no other site.
What the world needs now is love, sweet love--Why should innocent people suffer
for the sake of those who distort, extort, or abuse the system...Why let the
rotten eggs ruin other lives?
Lose the BAD, but as for what you may call the lil' people--give them rest...OR
we run the risk of ridding members, un-necessarily.
