I think it depends, if you keep it nice and shaped up then its cool. Beards can make you look very distinquished. Especailly in a nice suit. Goat tee's are what's hot I suppose.

but i dont like beards on a man.. its scratchy when you cuddle or kiss lol

Being the old guy with a white beard makes you an automatic answer to the question, "My santa left town and I need a new one next week!?"

Believe me, having a bunch of little kids sitting on your lap ain't all that much fun. And some are scared but Mama wants a picture done anyway. Other little kids are so sweet or happy to talk to Santa that it becomes a very worthwhile thing to be the "Real Santa."

Then there are the teenage girls who ask Santa naughty questions and makes his face red.:lol:

Oh, and not every beard is scratchy. It depends on the texture of the hair, some are silky smooth. Mine is soft but not silky. My wife won't let me shave it all off.

I'm pretty much 100% anti-beard.

A goatee looks ok on some men, but not much else.

Charles: My young cousin and my daughter both used to be terrified of men with long white beards!
Everything I've done, and all that I have yet to do, is only to forget the meaning of your name.

A friend of mine has this hideous beard. Since he has a low hairline and a very high beard, plus a dark face, he looks very much like a monkey. He refuses to shave it :cry::cry::cry: but at least I get to scratch it when I see him :lol: [then he turns into a human kitten... you know, when you're scratching behind their ears or tickling their necks].
So big full face beards that won't let you see the skin through them, are OUT!

Now the grizzly stubble effect I quite like - but it depends on the man obviously. It takes a decade off my Nannu but Nanna won't let him keep it :( pity she has sensitive skin. So besides my grandad, it suits quite a few men, and then makes others look like they need a scrub :dunno:

Goatees are ok, but again it depends on the man.

Moustaches are DEAD! OUT! GONE!! Ugh, I hate them! My dad had one all my life and then shaved it off when I was 15. Any man with a moustache reminds me of my dad, and that's the last person I want to be thinking of while kissing someone. Did I say last? I'm sorry, I meant one of 2 -no 3 - people I don't ever want to think of in that sort of situation, the other 2 being my brother and Orlando Bloom [they look so alike it's frightening seeing Orlando on tv].

Ever notice that U.S politicians tend not to have any facial hair? Trends for facial hair have fluctuated throughout our nation's history. Currently, the psychological impact of facial hair on the voters is that a person is a little less honest or trustworthy. This manifests subconsciously. The more open the face, the more you can see and interpret the subtle nuances of facial body language.

For me, wearing a beard or stubble just means I was too tired or didn't feel like being bothered with shaving.

For certain religions and disciplines...do not EVER touch the hair. I bet Sampson wishes Delilah hadn't touch his. Whew, speak of impotency!

I grew my first beard in High School, got sent home because of it.

Except for my soldier days, I've had one ever since. Did a year once in Navy Reserve during the time they allowed beards. In the Punjab, all the Sikhs had beards, so I blended well.

In Japan I always had Nihonjin of all sizes and sexes staring at me because I had a very long, red, mixed with a bit of gray, beard.

My wife has only seen it shaved off a couple of times (botched trim jobs) and she can't wait for it to grow back when I do that.
