I'm not going to even try with naming all the US territories.

Can you do it for Australia without google etc???

But the most remote islands that come to mind would be the Galapagas (which I cannot spell for some reason).

Perhaps there are others that have been found since... but I seem to remember that it was their geographic isolation that was used for many of the basis for describing one mechanism of Darwin's natural selection.

Why would I name all of the territories of the United States of America. or name the most isolated islands in the world. I think that they already have names, even if I don't know what they are.

Actually, Romeo, yes I could name them for Australia without looking it up. Part o me job ye see, mate.

And the Galapagos are far from the most remote islands in the world. Look on a map. They are not very far off of the South American coast.

Yay, Lucia!

It is the state of Hawaii! A group of active volcanoes rising suddenly up from some of the deepest waters on the planet, the Hawaiians are the most isolated islands in the world.


I suppose the biggest clue was aa, which is a type of rock formed by volcanic activity.

There is a bus with 7 girls.
Each girl has 7 bags.
In each bag, there are 7 big cats
Each big cat has 7 little cats.
Each cat has 4 legs.
Question: How many legs are present in bus?

k...this is pure mathematics....some of us were blessed with th ability to play with numbers:D so how about using this talent

So now let's see how good you are...

n oh...don't rush to give me th answer...u have to justify how u arrived at it..otherwise I'll take it that u cheated:D

7 girls x 2 legs = 14

7 girls x 7 bags = 49 bags

49 bags x 7 big cats each = 343 big cats x 4 legs each = 1372 big cat legs.

14 girl legs + 1372 cat legs = 1386 legs.




Now, there is no mention that the little cats are present in the bags with the big cats so I cannot count them as on the bus. But were the little cats on the bus as well, it would be:

343 big cats x 7 little cats each = 2401 little cats x 4 legs each = 9604

+ 14 girl legs = 9618 legs + 1372 big cat legs = a grand total of 10,990 legs. (probably all of which have not been shaved. :D )



Assuming none of the girls are amputees or have birth defects.
Assuming the bus is parked (or careening free down the road) since there is no mention of a bus driver.


Now...how about my Territories question? No answer yet? OK...tomorrow night I will give the answer if no one steps forward with it.

The answer used to be the British Empire. ...the sun next rises over the Virgin Islands. An hour later it rises over such places as New York, Florida, Washington D.C., etc.



Two more geography questions then: 1) Name all of the Territories of the United States of America. 2) Name the most isolated islands in the world


The 2nd question has been answered, but no one has yet answered the 1st question. It is a simple research issue. An Almanac will find you the answer. Maybe Google too. I have not checked. For search term, one might also add the phrase "insular areas of the United States" and see what pops up.
