?
Investing in glass is generally considered more important than in a body but a
good lens is going to set you back $600+

medium range zoom. There should be some older models available if there are any
camera stores in your area that carry used equipment. Keep in mind that
whichever one you find and start with, you'll probably stay with, because the
lenses you acquire will be too expensive to replace by switching camera systems. If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!

came out how i wanted to when i have to devolope the film. right now i am just
using a 5mp point and shoot camera. i was thinking of a slr but the cheapest one
i can find is the nikon D-40 for about 500 dollars. |

point and shoot? If it has the ability to change lenses, is it autofocus?
These are the details I need to begin to give advice. If the answer to any of
the above is yes, then your options become more simple. If it is a Canon Rebel
with an EOS autofocus lens, then you can simply buy a canon digital body for at
least as little as the Nikon, maybe even less, especially used.If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!

| Date: 2007-12-29 21:40 It's and EOS Reble Ti. So, yes, it does have interchangable lenses and is an
SLR. The lense is an autofocus lense. And, Charles, I just thought of what you
said about buying a digital body. Thanks for the help everyone! It means a lot. |

get a great little 50mm lens for $70. So for under $500 you have a great
solution for studio portraits. |

lifespan than pro cameras, but you can use one up and upgrade as you go.

deal. Thanks, everyone! |

Best buys if you are looking for really good quality digital pictures without
costing you too much look for around 5mp upward and go for Canon, Fujifilm,
Pentax, also take a look at Kodak's range, I'm up to date on a lot of the latest
electronics I must admit!
I bought a Kodak easyshare camera recently & it's only 7.1 megapixels but boasts
480x480dpi resolution... razor sharp! makes sony look a right laughing stock in
camera stakes! I'd say the pictures are more than 70% better quality than any of
the sony 10mp + DSLR's, I have a Canon EOS with more than 15mp!
I'm only on here as a member at the moment, though I will say here & now I am a
photographer, as well as a journalist! (keep that off the record!) |

glass and that can get expensive for someone new with limited funds. |
