Malcolm, I believe all agencies, photographers and industry professionals capture images that stand out. Sometimes it is for art inspiration purposes and, specifically with models, to make a note of certain people in case future opportunities pop up that the model would be perfect for. I should think that a model would welcome this type of flagging. Something may or may not come of it, that's the way this industry blows. But it runs along the lines of having a presence on portfolio websites like Jurgitia...you get to spread your image around and market to the world.

Catherina's second question should make all models ask themselves: what types of modeling am I really 1) interested in and 2) suitable for. Only a few people ever make super stardom. For the rest, the main question is: How can I make some money by modeling? Selling to collectors is a legitimate option but a model must first determine her limits and second insure the validity of the purchaser.

A common type of collector in my area is the Uber rich. These millionaires have yachts and mansions and often look to decorate their boats and walls with elegantly styled images of models. Basically, art work commissioned of photographers rather than painters. The images go up on display and are distributed no place else. And these guys you can trust...they are rich enough to be sued if images go awry and always pay for the work they receive. Often this kind of work will be brokered through agencies but more often through individual photographers. And I have known them to commission images from abroad.

And in agreeing with you, Malcolm, what the heck does someone want with an entire photo shoot? I can't even do anything with a majority of the images I take on a photo shoot. The one's the client wants...usually boiling down to only one or two get sold and the rest burned onto a DVD for archiving and often never ever pulled up again.

Someone is going to have to convince me that there is a legitimate reason for an entire photo shoot.

Again I will reiterate to models: Get yourself a method of receiving payment in advance and know and specifiy exactly what the uses of your images are.

And Cats: I see you corrected your amounts by adding the dot and three zeros to the 150rp. That makes a bit more sense than your original figures.
:cantlook: Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should
