Are there any professional photographers who would be interested in having an
amateur photographer to take practise? I know that there are some amateur
photographers on this site who would like to meet professionals and do some
learning.
Maybe sometimes only a good advise or an honest suggestion could work..
All those who are looking for some advices and want to become professional
photographers are welcome to post under this topic.
Also professionals who could share some of their experience and help those who
are just starting are welcome to meet them here.
There are lots of Pro photographers would let an amateur tag along at their
shoot but of course without salary just for exposure. I have shot thousands of
wedding as a freelancer the point came that i got bored now i am returning cause
i'm missing it i'm rated as an amateur on this website but i don't mind i am a
Christian and in the Bible it is written " He who humbles himself will be
exalted while he who exalts himself will be humbled". In the beginning i apply
to photograph them for free it was the old film days no digital yet the real Pro
is my father he studied photography in somewhere in Sta Cruz, Manila in the late
60's and early 70's then in the early 80's he studied at NYI i am his assistant
at the age of six i already experienced to be inside the lab i can't take the
chemical's odor they give me headache. My first assignment is a wedding my
father is the one supposed to shoot that wedding but he was called abroad he
applied abroad on board ship during those time almost all photographers on
cruise liners are americans or europeans it's funny he never applied as a
photographer instead a cook and in the dining room i guess as a waiter anyway i
am very proud of him bacause he took care of us. Anyway if my suggestions are
poor i'm sorry i'm only human.
Good for sugestions about photography is deviantart . There are many forums and
members who can tell you how to impove your photos, what are you doing bad or
how to use ligh. Also there are some usefull tutorials for photography
Mr. G. Arreglo...What a beautifully written post...I thank you for touching my
heartstrings & making my day
HUGZzz to YOU, & Much Happiness to you in your life's journey.
[ May your eyes always be free from strain that can occur as an avid
photographer.
I sympathize with you, sir, on the chemical odor issue: Some people's olfaction
is super sensitive...It's like being a hairdresser & giving permanent wave
solution all day long...It
can give one a headache, even though the newer solutions are improved in their
scents, verses the opposing old school beginning formulas.]
I like dabbling in taking outdoor scenic shots, myself...I am inspired by the
infinitesimal beauty of nature...'Tis breath taking in a worldwide-eyed
scope. [*)|(*]

I've been a mentor. But it's not something you can do well by correspondence.
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going! If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!
