Hi I was just wondering do I really have a chance for any modeling if I'm now tall enough, and not anoectic enough. Just medium size and height?
Hi my name is Eva i'm25 and from Poland but from two years i live in Dublin,Ireland.
I'm new here and very interested in sophisticated, glamour and artistic athmosphere of photos. In my opinion something that's covered(hidden)sometimes is more interesting than NUDE and visible one.
Please check my prortfolio.
Kind Regards,
Eva K.

Based on my limited knowledge with current modeling agencies. No in the fashion industry. 5'8" is considered short. But yes to commercial modeling...which tends to be Cal. area.
NY tends to be fashion. Please correct me if I'm wrong on locations.
But I wouldn't give up hope...all sizes are needed. I just assume you mean runway fashion.

I think the days of anorexic models is over. It was once all the rage for models to be skinny, boney waifs but there has over the years been a lot of negative publicity in that regard. I read a yahoo article in the last month (I tried to find it but was unsuccessful) that talked about average size being the latest trend. It talked mostly how commercial companies were starting to prefer models that are still very attractive, but have the same build as the people they are trying to sell to. that being average sized people.

The main problem you are going to have is the poor quality of your images. No one is going to take you seriously until you start producing some better images.

Sure why not? Maybe not high fashion -- but so what. There are tons of other things that you could do. That is if you get some good pictures that will catch attention. I am 5'5" and am pretty active. I am also lucky to live in Calif where that height is ok for local stuff. Who knows? Just gotta try!

:pleased:

Try to build up your folio. Perhaps with more lifestyle pictures to help you venture into commercial modeling

I'm only 5'5 and I've gotten tons of modeling jobs. You can do commercial modeling, and some agencies have petite divisions for short, skinny girls. That's what I'm looking into right now. We as short models are definitely more limited, but that doesn't mean we can't be successful.
good luck :]

I've stood looking at this topic without comment long enough.

If you can't be a Morel, then you can continue to be a Muddle, just be sure you don't fall into a Morass.
If I haven't been there, I'm still planning on going!
If I haven't done it, I've still got time to try!
