some suggestions if you allow me.
i just voted LIKES to 3 of your photos. these are the only ones you should keep
here. the others are a bit too samey. try shooting more in a different outfit.
careful not to put anything out of focus, like one of them. better to have less,
but best, than more but not so good.
leave the rest to the imagination.
one big problem is the cropping. make sure you don't waste any space. it's nice
to have a weird angle and have strange cutting photos for fun, but modeling
portfolio.., umm,it's no no!
the one i voted LIKE of you sitting is very nice. but if you have to pose again,
try to turn your shoulder a little more, and turn from the waist. this will make
a lovelier V from your shoulder to waist, making it ... attractive.
also, if you can alter this particular shot to make it upright. it will look
less like a gimmick.
remember, you want to promote your beauty, not a gimmick. gimmick are for
fun.
the other one is very sensual. but for modeling portfolio, it may be a bit
revealing.
it attracts too much attending below your skirt, (if you know what i am trying
to say).
you want to draw the eyes to your face, your full frame, but with this, it 's a
favourite among boys naturally, but the modeling agency (and photographers, i
have to say this because i am one...) are not little boys looking to be
thrilled.
they're looking to see if you have the poise , the ability to be attractive, but
elegant.
stylish, with finesse. remember, you will be meeting serious business people...
not going to a high school prom.
KimS ,i hope you know what i mean. it's not a criticism, because it is a very
nice picture,
but you have to know when to draw the line between a serious portfolio and
something to get the kids crazy.
if you can crop it, it would be better too. too much empty space. crop to fill
the frame with YOU. you want to draw the attention to YOU , not the couch, nor
the wall.
remember remember, draw the eyes to your face. you have a lovely face and a good
figure, but let's concentrate on the face. your eyes especially... they
sparkle.. that's beautiful..you already know how to smile with your eyes.
remember, more is less, and less is more. leave some to the imagination.
finesse, elegance, style, charm... it's all about hiding more than showing.
thank you for letting me give my opinion. i hope it's ok with you.
let me know. i am just as easy to talk to, as i am to say, go away.
but i feel you have to make a few more different photos to give it a better
mix.
different outfit, better pose, more flattering pose.
learn not to stand full front, learn to twist from the hip to form a V and
intersecting lines going from one side to the other.
your body should form two Vs and it's all from turn at the waistline.
good luck. you got a good start. keep it up.
p.s. sorry to take up so much of your column.
just wish to give you as much hints as possible.
ok, got to run. business calls.you provide the character, and i will take care of the rest to capture your persona. |
