Someone on this site told me to start out modeling is if a photgrapher in my area helps me. So if you want to help me and you are around my area, let me know and see whats up.

Rheshawnique you have to chase agents and photographers in your area if you really do want to model, send them some CLEAR pictures not like the ones you have on the site, try taking a few polaroids and send them to agencies, read the articles section.

Actually, Rheshawnique, you should approach the photographers in person. Kim...how is she to get clear photographs to show photographers in her area without first getting some clear photographs from a photographer? :dunno:

If you want to trade for images, then photo studios or mall photographers are out of the question. They will charge you a pretty penny for a portfolio.

I am not certain you are ready yet to have that kind of money spent on a potential future career.

You are high school age...a very good age to start out in modeling. You also are probably at a high school that has either a photography class, journalism class or photography club. Those are the photographers you want to approach to get some trade images. With them you can also practice your posing on a continual basis and refine the areas of modeling that are best suited to your physical make-up.

You can also see if you high school has an acting or drama club, a cosmetology class or club and even a modeling class or club. The drama will get you some acting experience, great for learning poses and how they affect viewers. A cosmetology class can do various make up and hair styles for you to help you see what works best. A modeling club...well, that is self explanatory.

Churches and civic organization often do charity fashion shows and events. Keep an eye out in your community and volunteer for some of those events. You will get valuable education and experience plus, there are always photographers present to get pictures of yourself from.

Keep your chin up, be realistic about the type of modeling you will be suitable for and use your positive attitude to give yourself the best shot possible.

Kim S is right, you have to do the walking. photographers have their own models , they don't come to you. not unless you are establish and is an experience model that is unique.
i won't repeat...Kim S said it all:thumbup:
you provide the character, and i will take care of the rest to capture your persona.
