i've spent one evening watching music videos and they made me think :cantlook: why those girls forget to dress something up and why the only their choreography is to shake whatever one got? i understand that this is sexy, etc, but isn't there another way to represent music? share your ideas :)

ah... you spent 1 evening... I've been watching it for more than 10 years :cantlook:

The numbers:

- Love songs, sex/drug songs > Nature, war, living/destiny, human king, religion (all non-love songs)

- Famous with video clip > famous without video clip.

You achieve bigger $ numbers with love songs and video clips.

The public will watch more to a video clip with nudity than a video clip with "cars without girls", besides the singers compete the "sexyness" themselves, and there are also charts for the most sexy woman and man, and singers like to be in it.
I can also tell you I was a sales team chief of a cable tv supplier, and the most sold channels were the Sports one and the Porn one. People LIKE nudity, or similar.

And NO there is no other way to represent it since 90% of the world population buys audio for the image and not image for the audio.
If they don't shake, they will be poor...

Personaly, I don't watch any of those "sexy" singers, maybe I should... or perhaps i should take some snapshots of me getting out of the shower too...:dunno:

so, of course, you should :saint: like Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, Justin Timberlake and others. Now is a time of sexy look, sexy dances and so on. Fashion, art, movie industry are based on sexy "touch".

Well, I am not into music business. But could tell that all famous top models which I respect have made an erotic sensitive photos and what? Nothing. They are still the best, I love them as always :)

I think it is good when you have what to show. Good, when you can sing perfectly, dance, play and etc.

80s and 90s music videos were vastly more interesting than today's stuff. The only videos in recent years that stood out to me were the Gorillaz videos.

To shake smth what you have and to show your but is the cheepest way to get atenttion from the masses... POP songs main goal is to make money, thats why it's not art anymore... Rock roles!! :muscle:

if it is a good songwiter they usually are clothed but if just a manufactured pop group they are nearly naked

Answer 2 the Q': Because shakin' the grooved-hump-thing, requires talent to not land on your rump...So-o-o, if the voice doesn't strike a matched set, something has to compensate the vibrato's vicissitude on the decibel meter, somewhere.
