From the swimsuit shot, your body needs to tone just a little. But your face is
oval and symmetrical enough to immediately lend a certain type of work that I
think you should target.
Try aiming for markets like FUBU.
You are short for classic modeling so you will not achieve mainstream runway
status that way.
But FUBU targets consumers who look like you. They portray spounce, urban
living, attitude and looking [i]gooood[/d]. You know what I mean.
You may be able to do the beach scene promo and mild glamor work. However, if
you are paired with a male, it probably can only be for print work and then only
in shots where your height shortful is disguised by the posing.
For you, right now, to start your career, I would target the urban products and
their promoters.
Have faith that the universe will unfold as it should
I think every one can be a model....you just need to create a proper
portfolio...it's all about photographer...My name is Julia and I also wanted to
be a model I created my profile on this site and some others..'myURL' ...I sent
my home-made pictures to some agencies in Dubai...and nothing has happend so
far...if I only could send good photoes may be I would get a job as a model...
Lateishea, I think u can be a model but my question is "are you ready to accept
all challenges which will come up on your way to the modeling". Once I was
offerd to take part in a "dirty" photo-shooting and as a benefit - get a good
portfolio...and that was a moment of truth for me...I told "no"...for me it was
a certain limit i couldn't get over. I always tell myself that on the way to the
top of the mountain you shouldn't forget about the view when you'll be standing
there (you should enjoy it rather then be shamefull of what you've done to get
there)
Lateishea, I hope this year brings you all that you desire and dream about. Do
not be discouraged by comments of your potential. Models are like actors. there
is a wide range of opportunities and needs.
Lateishea, you may try to provide a few more pics in your portfolio. Personally
I'm missing a few full body shots to see how you look below your bust. Try to
have a few tfp shootings with various photographers to get some expierience.
Try to get some better pictures, hit the photographers in your area up for Time
for CD (TFCD).
When I am looking for a model I am looking for someone that can show a range of
emotions (much like an actor). Do something in your images, walking, playing a
game, shopping... anything.
On the critique side, in all your images you are just looking at the camera,
while it is not necessarily bad to look at the camera I just see a blank
stare... no emotion or story...
