Before anyone signs up for this, they should probably read the terms and
conditions involved.
http://www.moblog.com.sg/gridgirls/termCon.asp
Term 13 essentially means all photos and videos of the contestants can be used
freely and no payment is involved.
Term 27 means you cannot be on tv programmes during the duration of the
competition, in worldwide.
Term 32 means you must attend up to 10 roadshows. Note this is a contest so
there is no pay for 10 roadshows.
Seems not very beneficial to the contestants?
One would have expected Singtel to promote the modeling industry by hiring those
Professional models from Singapore/S.E Asia to be the Grid girls.
Example:
* Maggie Tan from Phantom
* Sheila Tay from Carries
* Swyn Teo from T models
* Peggy Chang from Upfront
* Jolin, Andrea Teo from Looque
* Victoria Gallistan from Perspectives
The F1 is actually the correct platform to promote and benefit
Singapore's/regional modeling industry.
Its huge elsewhere in the world and generate at least 250K in income for the
models and agencies.
However, many models who are contracted cannot join this contest. Maybe they
will need to pay for the pro models to enter the contest/programme if they want
tall and really hot hot and pretty gals/models to grace the F1 event.
Let's hope and give the necessary support to Mediacorp, Singtel and the girls
who are joining. Its Singapore's national project. |
